What Is Sandbox?

The party's last guest.

Sandbox is the voxel metaverse that turned virtual land into a market, an Ethereum gaming world of user-built experiences backed by Animoca Brands and famous for the celebrity and brand plots of the 2021 boom. The metaverse cycle has long since cooled, which makes the CFGI Sandbox fear and greed index a study in what a crowd does after the party: it remembers. This is a token whose sentiment peak and price peak landed on exactly the same day, and whose crowd has spent the year since drifting further from both.

The CFGI read: On 13 September 2025 Sandbox printed its best reading of the year, 70 out of 100, at $0.3278, its highest price of the entire window, in the middle of an eight-day Greed run from 7 to 14 September 2025. Mood and money topped together, and neither has been back: the price closed the window at $0.04538, down 85.8% from where the year began, and the crowd never returned to that height.

Sandbox Fear and Greed Index History

Q3 2026 breakdown. The table below updates daily.

Between July 2025 and July 2026 the crowd logged 145 days in Fear, 194 in Neutral and 26 in Greed, never touching either extreme. The average of 43 places Sandbox 31st by fearful average among the tokens we have ranked, more fearful than roughly two-thirds of the field. Its worst single reading, 23 out of 100 on 10 October 2025 at $0.1904, came as 88 of the 96 tokens then tracked closed in Fear or worse, three days after its sharpest slide of the year, 21 points from 57 to 36 on 7 October 2025.

The deepest rut came late. From 26 May to 19 June 2026 Sandbox closed 25 consecutive days in Fear or worse, the long tail of a slide that bottomed the price at $0.04489 on 24 July 2026. Set that against the 24-point surge from 41 to 65 on 22 August 2025, its biggest single-day jump, and the shape of the year is clear: brief bursts of remembered euphoria, then a long settling.

Today the reading is 36, Fear, a quieter corner of what the live Fear and Greed Index for the whole market is tracking across the whole token board. The land is still there. The crowd is still deciding what it is worth.

Sandbox Fear and Greed Index FAQ

What is the Sandbox Fear and Greed Index today?

The Sandbox Fear and Greed Index today is 49/100 on the daily view, showing Neutral. It summarizes live Sandbox market sentiment on a 0 to 100 scale.

How is the Sandbox Fear and Greed Index calculated?

CFGI combines price action, impulse, volatility, volume, technicals, social sentiment, dominance, search interest, whale activity and order book pressure into one Sandbox fear and greed reading.

What is a good Sandbox Fear and Greed Index reading?

There is no single good reading, because the index measures mood rather than value. Extreme Fear below 25 marks the points where sentiment is most washed out, and Extreme Greed above 75 the points carrying the most risk, so what counts as good depends on whether you are buying or selling.

How accurate is the Sandbox Fear and Greed Index?

It reads sentiment accurately and predicts price poorly, and those are two different things. The score reflects what the Sandbox market feels right now across ten live inputs, so treat it as a risk gauge rather than a forecast: it tells you how one-sided the crowd has become, not what happens next.

What does the Sandbox Fear and Greed Index measure?

It measures the emotional state of the Sandbox market on a 0 to 100 scale, from extreme fear at 0 to extreme greed at 100. CFGI builds that number from ten indicators including price action, volatility, volume, momentum, technicals and social sentiment, rather than from price alone.

How do I use the Sandbox Fear and Greed Index?

Most people use it to size risk rather than to time entries. The extreme readings are the useful ones: they flag when the crowd has become one-sided, which is when caution costs least and greed costs most. Read it alongside price and volume, never on its own.

How often is the Sandbox Fear and Greed Index updated?

The Sandbox Fear and Greed Index is updated every 15 minutes, so the live reading can change as Sandbox market conditions shift.

What does a low Sandbox Fear and Greed score mean?

A low score (0 to 39) signals fear or extreme fear, where traders are cautious, risk-averse or pessimistic about the Sandbox market.

What does a high Sandbox Fear and Greed score mean?

A high score (60 to 100) signals greed or extreme greed, where confidence, risk appetite and bullish sentiment dominate the Sandbox market.

Can I get alerts when the Sandbox Fear and Greed Index changes?

Yes. CFGI alerts let you track Sandbox sentiment across daily, 4-hour, 1-hour and 15-minute timeframes. Create alerts for fear, greed, extreme readings or specific Sandbox Fear and Greed Index score changes.
