CFGI Press
Every Market Story Needs a Number. Most Newsrooms Only Have One.
CFGI scores 600 crypto and stock assets on the same 0 to 100 Fear and Greed scale, crypto every 15 minutes and stocks through the US trading day, and publishes the 10 signals underneath each score. CFGI Press puts that data in your newsroom, free, shaped around what you cover.
Free for dedicated news outlets everywhere. No fee, no card, no trial that runs out. All we ask is that CFGI is credited the way you credit any source.
The line the data supports, right now
Roblox is at 13, in Extreme Fear, while a market-wide index publishes 1 number for everything.

The furthest any of the 592 assets CFGI is reading right now sits from Neutral, on the daily timeframe. This card is live and rewrites itself as the market moves.
One Number for a Whole Market Is Not a Story About One Asset.
When a single token or a single stock is the story, the sentiment figure most desks can reach describes everything except that asset.
The Number You Can Cite Today
- 1 number for an entire market. When your headline is about one token or one company, the figure describes everything except the thing you are writing about.
- It cannot go up when your asset goes down. An asset in Extreme Fear inside a calm market is invisible, and that gap is usually the story.
- The crypto index publishes once a day. File at 2pm on a market that moved at 11am and you are quoting yesterday.
- Crypto and stocks come from 2 unrelated providers on 2 unrelated methods, so a sentence comparing them does not hold up.
- You cannot say what moved it, because the components describe the market rather than your asset.
The Number CFGI Press Gives You
- A reading for the asset in your headline: 300 crypto tokens and 300 stocks, each scored on its own, plus a composite for each market when the market IS the story.
- The outlier is visible. When 1 asset breaks from a flat market, that shows up as its own number, and that is the piece nobody else can file.
- Crypto refreshes every 15 minutes, around the clock. Stocks refresh through the US trading day. On 4 timeframes, so an intraday move and a weekly trend are not the same figure.
- Crypto and stocks on 1 scale, from 1 provider, on 1 method, so a sentence putting a token beside a listed company holds.
- The 10 sub-signals under every score are published, so your piece names what moved the number instead of only that it moved.
Right now 339 of the 592 assets CFGI is reading sit outside Neutral. A single market-wide number shows a newsroom none of them. These are the 3 furthest out:

The Coverage Behind Every Line You Publish.
CFGI has archived stock readings back to 2021 and crypto readings back to 2022. The same scoring that powers the public site is what a press partner reports from.
Check your tickers are here before you apply: every crypto asset we score and every stock we score, both live.
Every Asset Scored
300 crypto tokens and 300 stocks, each with its own reading, plus a composite for each market. Your story can be about the asset, not about the average.
1 Shared Scale
Crypto and stocks both run 0 to 100, from Extreme Fear to Extreme Greed. One sentence can put a token and a listed company side by side.
4 Timeframes
Every asset is scored on 15 minutes, 1 hour, 4 hours and 1 day, so an intraday move and a weekly trend are two different readings, not one blur.
History Since 2021
Daily stock readings go back to 2021 and 15-minute crypto readings to 2022, so a current number can be set against where that asset has been rather than published cold.
Every Score Opens Into the Same 10 Sub-Signals.
This is what makes a CFGI figure quotable. You are not asking readers to trust a closed box. You can name the signal that moved, on the record, and show the working behind the headline number.
What CFGI Press Gives Your Newsroom.
A data feed built around your coverage, not a login to a product you have to learn. We shape it with your desk, we run it, and we keep it current.
Readings for the Assets You Cover
Current Fear and Greed readings for the assets your desk reports on. The exact shape is something we work out with each newsroom rather than assume.
A Note When Sentiment Turns
Where a desk wants it, word when an asset it covers moves into Extreme Fear or Extreme Greed. Whether and how we do that is agreed with each newsroom.
Your Own Telegram Desk Bot
A bot in your newsroom chat that answers with a reading for any asset CFGI scores, on any timeframe, plus artwork you can publish. Your reporters type a ticker and get the number, without leaving the chat they already work in.
Your Own Workspace on CFGI Press
A dashboard that is yours: pull a brief for any asset, see what is at an extreme across both rosters right now, and download the images at publication size. Set up by us, nothing for your desk to install.
Built Into Where You Already Work
If your desk runs somewhere else, we will work out how to get the readings to you there rather than asking you to come to us. We build and run it; your newsroom does not.
Context From the Archive
CFGI keeps every reading it has produced. When a story needs a figure set against where it has been, we can work that out with you rather than leaving you to publish it cold.
The Signals Underneath
The 10 sub-signals behind each score, so your piece can name what moved the number instead of reporting only that it moved.
Shaped Around Your Desk
We agree which assets matter to your coverage and work out with you what form the readings should take. None of that setup lands on your newsroom.
A Person to Ask
Someone at CFGI you can put a figure to before you publish, and who can talk through how a score is built when a piece needs it.

Three Steps, and Nothing to Build.
The programme is meant to cost your newsroom nothing. Applying is an email, and the work after that is ours.
Step 01
Tell Us What You Cover
Fill in the form on this page: your name, your publication, and a line about what your desk reports on. A few words is enough to start.
Step 02
We Work Out the Shape Together
CFGI takes that coverage and works out with your desk what the data should look like for you. No fee, and nothing for your newsroom to build.
Step 03
You Publish a Better Number
Your reporters quote a reading for the asset in the story instead of one for the whole market, and CFGI is credited as the source.
How the Credit Works.
CFGI is a data source, and it is credited the way a data source is credited. A figure in the copy, a footnote on a chart or a line in a caption naming CFGI is exactly what your desk already does for a price provider or an on-chain analytics firm.
There is no fee and no invoice behind that. Use of CFGI data stays under the site Terms, as it does for anyone. The programme works because a sourced number is a stronger number, and because a reader who can see where a figure came from can go and check it.
CFGI Press Is for You If
- You cover crypto markets, stock markets, or both.
- You report on single assets, not only on the market as a whole.
- You want a sentiment figure you can attribute and a reader can go and check.
- You already credit the data providers you quote.
CFGI Press Is Not for You If
- You want price forecasts or market predictions.
- You want CFGI to write, review or approve your editorial.
- You need a bespoke index built to your own methodology.
- You want trading signals to pass on to your readers.

Questions From the Newsroom.
Is CFGI Press really free?
Yes. There is no fee and no trial that expires. Use of CFGI data stays under the site Terms, as it does for anyone. CFGI covers the cost because a sourced number sends readers back to the index, which is the whole point of publishing one.
How should CFGI be credited?
The way you credit any data provider you quote. When a CFGI figure appears in a story, a chart or a caption, name CFGI as the data source. That is ordinary sourcing, not a condition attached to the data.
How is this different from the index we already cite?
Many newsrooms cite alternative.me for crypto or the CNN index for US stocks. Each gives one number for one whole market. CFGI scores 300 crypto tokens and 300 stocks individually, on the same 0 to 100 scale, so you can report the asset your story is actually about.
Can we use the data in charts, graphics and broadcast?
Yes. Charts, graphics, broadcast, newsletters, podcasts and live blogs are all in scope under the site Terms. Credit CFGI on the graphic or in the caption so a viewer or reader can trace the figure.
Who is eligible?
Newsrooms, broadcasters, wire services, newsletters, podcasts and independent journalists who cover crypto or stock markets. Audience size is not the test. What you cover is.
Do you review or approve what we write?
No. CFGI supplies data and can check a figure with you before you publish. Editorial is entirely yours, and we do not ask to read a piece before it runs.
How current is the data?
Crypto scores refresh every 15 minutes across 4 timeframes, around the clock. Stock scores refresh on the same 4 timeframes through the US trading day and hold at the close until the next session. Either way a reading reflects the market at the time you file rather than the last daily close.
Can CFGI be quoted on the record?
Yes. CFGI can explain on the record how a score is built, what the 10 sub-signals measure and which of them moved. We do not comment on why a market moved or on where a price is heading.
Is a CFGI score financial advice?
No. A CFGI score measures market sentiment, not investment merit. It describes how a market is behaving, not whether an asset is worth owning, and it is not a recommendation.
How do we apply?
Use the form on this page. It takes your name, your publication and where to reply, and it reaches us the moment you send it. If you would rather write, press@cfgi.io reaches the same desk.
