Advertising Terms
CFGI publishes market sentiment data and news drafted from it. This page says how advertising is allowed onto the site without touching any of it: who qualifies, how every placement is labelled, what cannot be bought, and what we refuse.
Why We Advertise, and With Whom
Sponsored content and sponsorships pay for the newsroom, so the data and the news stay free to read. We work only with partners whose products add something for our readers. Sponsored content is open to crypto, stock and finance businesses; sponsorships to businesses connected to finance; alert sponsorships to anyone. No gambling or betting advertises on CFGI. Every advertiser applies through Advertise with CFGI and is accepted or declined by a person.
How Advertising Is Labelled
Every paid placement is labelled as advertising: Sponsored for sponsored placements and Advertisement for nofollow placements. Paid links carry rel="sponsored" or rel="nofollow". We do not sell followed links.
- One paid link per placement, and one per target website per month across the whole site. Anchors are branded or descriptive, never keyword-stuffed, never with tracking parameters. CFGI chooses the wording.
- Paid articles run in their own labelled column on the news pages they belong to and stay under 15% of our own news.
- A page sponsorship is a credit line under the H1 and a labelled banner lower on the page. One sponsor per page, never several.
- In free alert emails, the alert content comes first and the sponsor line sits below it, never in the subject.
What Cannot Be Bought
- Headline coverage in the dailies. Which stories we cover and how we rank them is decided by the numbers and by a person, never by a payment.
- Any score, any reading, any wording or timing of the data. Sponsoring a page changes nothing about the page but the credit line and the banner.
- The homepage, and any heading, title or meta description anywhere on the site.
- A sponsor's own story: when a piece is about a sponsor or a direct competitor, that sponsor is skipped on it.
What We Refuse
- AI slop, predictions, promises of returns, token launches, presales, airdrops and yield products.
- Gambling and betting, in any placement and at any price.
- Copy seen in the UK that is not FCA-compliant. The advertiser supplies it and warrants it; we refuse what is not.
- Anything a reasonable reader would take as investment advice. CFGI is market sentiment data, not financial advice, and no placement may suggest otherwise.
Editing and Removal
CFGI edits every paid article to house style and has the final say on wording, placement and publication. A paid link is removed when the target website changes topic, goes offline, redirects elsewhere, or breaks this policy. The commercial terms an advertiser agrees to when booking are on the advertiser desk.
Not Financial Advice
CFGI is market sentiment software, not a broker, exchange, custodian or financial adviser. A score says how the crowd feels now; it does not predict price or tell anyone what to do. Read the disclaimer.
