What Is HyperLiquid?
The unshaken trading floor.
HyperLiquid is a decentralised perpetuals exchange that runs on its own purpose-built layer 1, with a fully on-chain order book fast enough to feel like a centralised venue. HYPE is its native token, distributed to the exchange's own users in one of the largest airdrops in crypto history, which makes its crowd unusual: these are not passive holders, they are the traders on the floor. On the CFGI HyperLiquid fear and greed index, that shows.
The CFGI read: In 214 days on the index since 28 October 2025, HYPE has only rarely gone near Extreme Fear or Extreme Greed. Its most striking pair of readings explains why. Sentiment bottomed at 23 out of 100 on 23 November 2025 with the price at $31.72, and peaked at 78 on 29 January 2026 with the price at $30.87. Nearly the same price, opposite ends of the mood range. This crowd prices momentum and positioning, not levels.
HyperLiquid Fear and Greed Index History
Q3 2026 breakdown. The table below updates daily.
HYPE has spent 130 of its 214 scored days in Neutral, against 49 in Fear and 35 in Greed, averaging 47. The dip to 23 on 23 November 2025 came on a day when 68 of the 100 tokens then tracked sat in Fear or worse, and the recovery was immediate: the next day, 24 November, printed the token's biggest single-day jump, 18 points from 23 to 41.
The price backdrop rewarded that steadiness. HYPE ranged from a low of $21.03 on 20 January 2026 to a high of $73.33 on 16 June 2026 and finished the window up 23.2%, from $47.91 to $59.01, a run the Fear and Greed Index recorded with barely an extreme reading in either direction. Even the sharpest wobble, a 19-point drop from 72 to 53 on 20 March 2026, only carried the score back to the middle of the scale.
Conviction, when it comes, does not linger. The longest stretch of Greed or better ran just seven days, 9 to 15 April 2026, and the longest spell of Fear or worse just four, 2 to 5 November 2025. A trading crowd, it turns out, does not stay sure of anything for long. Today it reads 47, Neutral, exactly its own average.

HyperLiquid Fear and Greed Index FAQ
What is the HyperLiquid Fear and Greed Index today?
The HyperLiquid Fear and Greed Index today is 52/100 on the daily view, showing Neutral. It summarizes live HyperLiquid market sentiment on a 0 to 100 scale.
How is the HyperLiquid Fear and Greed Index calculated?
CFGI combines price action, impulse, volatility, volume, technicals, social sentiment, dominance, search interest, whale activity and order book pressure into one HyperLiquid fear and greed reading.
What is a good HyperLiquid Fear and Greed Index reading?
There is no single good reading, because the index measures mood rather than value. Extreme Fear below 25 marks the points where sentiment is most washed out, and Extreme Greed above 75 the points carrying the most risk, so what counts as good depends on whether you are buying or selling.
How accurate is the HyperLiquid Fear and Greed Index?
It reads sentiment accurately and predicts price poorly, and those are two different things. The score reflects what the HyperLiquid market feels right now across ten live inputs, so treat it as a risk gauge rather than a forecast: it tells you how one-sided the crowd has become, not what happens next.
What does the HyperLiquid Fear and Greed Index measure?
It measures the emotional state of the HyperLiquid market on a 0 to 100 scale, from extreme fear at 0 to extreme greed at 100. CFGI builds that number from ten indicators including price action, volatility, volume, momentum, technicals and social sentiment, rather than from price alone.
How do I use the HyperLiquid Fear and Greed Index?
Most people use it to size risk rather than to time entries. The extreme readings are the useful ones: they flag when the crowd has become one-sided, which is when caution costs least and greed costs most. Read it alongside price and volume, never on its own.
How often is the HyperLiquid Fear and Greed Index updated?
The HyperLiquid Fear and Greed Index is updated every 15 minutes, so the live reading can change as HyperLiquid market conditions shift.
What does a low HyperLiquid Fear and Greed score mean?
A low score (0 to 39) signals fear or extreme fear, where traders are cautious, risk-averse or pessimistic about the HyperLiquid market.
What does a high HyperLiquid Fear and Greed score mean?
A high score (60 to 100) signals greed or extreme greed, where confidence, risk appetite and bullish sentiment dominate the HyperLiquid market.
