What Is ZKsync?

Proof-heavy, hope-light.

ZKsync is one of Ethereum's flagship zero-knowledge rollups, built by Matter Labs to bundle transactions off-chain and prove them back to Ethereum with validity proofs, scaling the network without asking anyone to trust an intermediary. The ZK token arrived by airdrop in 2024 and now coordinates an expanding family of interoperable chains. The engineering is celebrated. The crowd, in its first weeks on the CFGI ZKsync fear and greed index, is not celebrating.

The CFGI read: ZKsync opened at its peak and has sat below it ever since. Day one, 10 July 2026, printed the window high of 54, Neutral, with the price at its own high of $0.0107. Of the 16 days since, 14 have closed in Fear. The floor of 29 out of 100 came on 18 July at $0.00946, midway through a 10-day run in Fear or worse from 12 to 21 July, on a day when 124 of the cryptos we score were gloomy too.

ZKsync Fear and Greed Index History

Q3 2026 breakdown. The table below updates daily.

The mood turned fast: a 14-point drop on 12 July, from 48 to 34, opened that long Fear stretch, and the only real fightback was a 13-point jump on 22 July, from 34 to 47, which faded within days. The price followed the mood, down 13.2% across the window from $0.0107 to $0.00928, with the low of $0.00916 on 25 July.

Seventeen days is a short book, but the early signature is clear: an average of 38, not one day of Greed, and a close at 38, Fear, exactly on that average. For now the rollup that compresses Ethereum's transactions has a crowd compressing its expectations, one of the heavier moods on the live Fear and Greed Index for the whole market.

ZK Fear and Greed Index FAQ

What is the ZK Fear and Greed Index today?

The ZK Fear and Greed Index today is 29/100 on the daily view, showing Fear. It summarizes live ZK market sentiment on a 0 to 100 scale.

How is the ZK Fear and Greed Index calculated?

CFGI combines price action, impulse, volatility, volume, technicals, social sentiment, dominance, search interest, whale activity and order book pressure into one ZK fear and greed reading.

What is a good ZK Fear and Greed Index reading?

There is no single good reading, because the index measures mood rather than value. Extreme Fear below 25 marks the points where sentiment is most washed out, and Extreme Greed above 75 the points carrying the most risk, so what counts as good depends on whether you are buying or selling.

How accurate is the ZK Fear and Greed Index?

It reads sentiment accurately and predicts price poorly, and those are two different things. The score reflects what the ZK market feels right now across ten live inputs, so treat it as a risk gauge rather than a forecast: it tells you how one-sided the crowd has become, not what happens next.

What does the ZK Fear and Greed Index measure?

It measures the emotional state of the ZK market on a 0 to 100 scale, from extreme fear at 0 to extreme greed at 100. CFGI builds that number from ten indicators including price action, volatility, volume, momentum, technicals and social sentiment, rather than from price alone.

How do I use the ZK Fear and Greed Index?

Most people use it to size risk rather than to time entries. The extreme readings are the useful ones: they flag when the crowd has become one-sided, which is when caution costs least and greed costs most. Read it alongside price and volume, never on its own.

How often is the ZK Fear and Greed Index updated?

The ZK Fear and Greed Index is updated every 15 minutes, so the live reading can change as ZK market conditions shift.

What does a low ZK Fear and Greed score mean?

A low score (0 to 39) signals fear or extreme fear, where traders are cautious, risk-averse or pessimistic about the ZK market.

What does a high ZK Fear and Greed score mean?

A high score (60 to 100) signals greed or extreme greed, where confidence, risk appetite and bullish sentiment dominate the ZK market.

Can I get alerts when the ZK Fear and Greed Index changes?

Yes. CFGI alerts let you track ZK sentiment across daily, 4-hour, 1-hour and 15-minute timeframes. Create alerts for fear, greed, extreme readings or specific ZK Fear and Greed Index score changes.
