What Is Usual?

Stability, sold nervously.

Usual is a decentralised stablecoin issuer on Ethereum, the protocol behind USD0, a dollar token collateralised by real-world assets, with USUAL as the governance token that routes the protocol's revenue back to its holders. The product it sells is calm. The crowd holding the token, in its first 17 days on the CFGI Usual fear and greed index since 10 July 2026, has yet to feel much of it.

The CFGI read: Usual has not seen a single day of Greed. Six of its 17 days have closed in Fear, the other 11 in Neutral, and the ceiling so far is 56 out of 100 on 21 July 2026, at $0.0091. What makes the mood notable is what the price was doing, which is almost nothing: down 4.4% across the window, from $0.0089 to $0.0086, inside a band running from $0.0084 to $0.0094. Sentiment swung 16 points up on 21 July and 13 points down on 24 July while the price never left a one-tenth-of-a-cent range. The nerves here are not chart-driven.

Usual Fear and Greed Index History

Q3 2026 breakdown. The table below updates daily.

Thirteen days into the record, the floor arrived: 33 out of 100 on 13 July 2026 at $0.0086, a day when 114 of the tokens we track were in Fear or worse, so the crowd at least had company. The 24 July slide from 51 to 38 landed on the price's low of $0.0084, and the window closes at 35, in Fear, with an average reading of 42.

Set that against the overall market Fear and Greed Index, which ended the same 26 July 2026 at a Neutral 51, and the gap is the story: a protocol engineered for stability, watched by a crowd that has spent its first two and a half weeks braced rather than settled, wary from the opening bell.

USUAL Fear and Greed Index FAQ

What is the USUAL Fear and Greed Index today?

The USUAL Fear and Greed Index today is 44/100 on the daily view, showing Neutral. It summarizes live USUAL market sentiment on a 0 to 100 scale.

How is the USUAL Fear and Greed Index calculated?

CFGI combines price action, impulse, volatility, volume, technicals, social sentiment, dominance, search interest, whale activity and order book pressure into one USUAL fear and greed reading.

What is a good USUAL Fear and Greed Index reading?

There is no single good reading, because the index measures mood rather than value. Extreme Fear below 25 marks the points where sentiment is most washed out, and Extreme Greed above 75 the points carrying the most risk, so what counts as good depends on whether you are buying or selling.

How accurate is the USUAL Fear and Greed Index?

It reads sentiment accurately and predicts price poorly, and those are two different things. The score reflects what the USUAL market feels right now across ten live inputs, so treat it as a risk gauge rather than a forecast: it tells you how one-sided the crowd has become, not what happens next.

What does the USUAL Fear and Greed Index measure?

It measures the emotional state of the USUAL market on a 0 to 100 scale, from extreme fear at 0 to extreme greed at 100. CFGI builds that number from ten indicators including price action, volatility, volume, momentum, technicals and social sentiment, rather than from price alone.

How do I use the USUAL Fear and Greed Index?

Most people use it to size risk rather than to time entries. The extreme readings are the useful ones: they flag when the crowd has become one-sided, which is when caution costs least and greed costs most. Read it alongside price and volume, never on its own.

How often is the USUAL Fear and Greed Index updated?

The USUAL Fear and Greed Index is updated every 15 minutes, so the live reading can change as USUAL market conditions shift.

What does a low USUAL Fear and Greed score mean?

A low score (0 to 39) signals fear or extreme fear, where traders are cautious, risk-averse or pessimistic about the USUAL market.

What does a high USUAL Fear and Greed score mean?

A high score (60 to 100) signals greed or extreme greed, where confidence, risk appetite and bullish sentiment dominate the USUAL market.

Can I get alerts when the USUAL Fear and Greed Index changes?

Yes. CFGI alerts let you track USUAL sentiment across daily, 4-hour, 1-hour and 15-minute timeframes. Create alerts for fear, greed, extreme readings or specific USUAL Fear and Greed Index score changes.
