What Is Maple Finance?

The credit desk keeps calm.

Maple Finance is an institutional credit protocol, an on-chain asset manager that connects professional lenders and borrowers and routes real yield through products like syrupUSDC. SYRUP became the protocol's token in a 2024 migration from the original MPL, and the project has spent the years since courting exactly the kind of client who does not panic on a red candle. Early evidence from the CFGI Maple Finance fear and greed index suggests the token's crowd has absorbed some of that temperament.

The CFGI read: Maple Finance has closed 12 of its first 19 days in Neutral and five in Greed against just two in Fear, an average of 54 out of 100 since joining the index on 8 July 2026. It is also one of the few new arrivals to end its opening window with the price higher than it started, up 3.1%. The greed came early: a five-day Greed-or-better run from 10 July 2026, peaking at 69 out of 100 on 12 July 2026 with the price at $0.19.

Maple Finance Fear and Greed Index History

Q3 2026 breakdown. The table below updates daily.

The wobble, when it came, was sharp but short. On 22 July 2026 the score dropped 21 points, from 59 to 38, Maple's first taste of Fear, and the floor of 37 out of 100 followed on 25 July 2026 at $0.17. Neither reading was a lonely panic: on that low day 124 of the tokens we track were in Fear or worse and not one was in Extreme Fear. The whole market was grinding lower and Maple simply stopped resisting for a few days.

It recovered its posture quickly, closing the window at 44 out of 100, back in Neutral, with the price at $0.17 against a low of $0.16 on 9 July 2026 and a high of $0.19 on 11 July 2026. That is a narrow trading range and a narrow emotional one, the signature of a credit-desk crowd rather than a casino one, and an early hint of where this token may settle within the market-wide Fear and Greed Index once it has a full year of record behind it.

SYRUP Fear and Greed Index FAQ

What is the SYRUP Fear and Greed Index today?

The SYRUP Fear and Greed Index today is 37/100 on the daily view, showing Fear. It summarizes live SYRUP market sentiment on a 0 to 100 scale.

How is the SYRUP Fear and Greed Index calculated?

CFGI combines price action, impulse, volatility, volume, technicals, social sentiment, dominance, search interest, whale activity and order book pressure into one SYRUP fear and greed reading.

What is a good SYRUP Fear and Greed Index reading?

There is no single good reading, because the index measures mood rather than value. Extreme Fear below 25 marks the points where sentiment is most washed out, and Extreme Greed above 75 the points carrying the most risk, so what counts as good depends on whether you are buying or selling.

How accurate is the SYRUP Fear and Greed Index?

It reads sentiment accurately and predicts price poorly, and those are two different things. The score reflects what the SYRUP market feels right now across ten live inputs, so treat it as a risk gauge rather than a forecast: it tells you how one-sided the crowd has become, not what happens next.

What does the SYRUP Fear and Greed Index measure?

It measures the emotional state of the SYRUP market on a 0 to 100 scale, from extreme fear at 0 to extreme greed at 100. CFGI builds that number from ten indicators including price action, volatility, volume, momentum, technicals and social sentiment, rather than from price alone.

How do I use the SYRUP Fear and Greed Index?

Most people use it to size risk rather than to time entries. The extreme readings are the useful ones: they flag when the crowd has become one-sided, which is when caution costs least and greed costs most. Read it alongside price and volume, never on its own.

How often is the SYRUP Fear and Greed Index updated?

The SYRUP Fear and Greed Index is updated every 15 minutes, so the live reading can change as SYRUP market conditions shift.

What does a low SYRUP Fear and Greed score mean?

A low score (0 to 39) signals fear or extreme fear, where traders are cautious, risk-averse or pessimistic about the SYRUP market.

What does a high SYRUP Fear and Greed score mean?

A high score (60 to 100) signals greed or extreme greed, where confidence, risk appetite and bullish sentiment dominate the SYRUP market.

Can I get alerts when the SYRUP Fear and Greed Index changes?
