What Is Sentient?

Composed, for a mind.

Sentient is an open-source AGI project with venture pedigree, backed by Founders Fund and built around GRID, a network that connects models, agents, data and compute so the people who contribute intelligence get paid when it is used. The pitch is that general AI should be a public network rather than a private lab. The CFGI Sentient fear and greed index picked it up on 10 July 2026, and for a token named after feeling, the crowd has been strikingly level-headed.

The CFGI read: Sentient has closed 13 of its first 17 days in Neutral and only 4 in Fear, and no two of those Fear days have come back to back. Its sharpest slide, 11 points from 47 to 36 on 19 July 2026, landed on the broadest Fear day in our crypto window, when 135 of the tokens we track closed in Fear or worse. The crowd absorbed the market's worst day, then stepped straight back to the middle.

Sentient Fear and Greed Index History

Q3 2026 breakdown. The table below updates daily.

The scale of the moves tells the same story. The whole window has run between 35 and 50 out of 100: a 50 on debut day, 10 July 2026, at $0.01475, and a low of 35 first touched on 24 July 2026 at $0.01287. The biggest single-day gain was 10 points, from 37 to 47 on 18 July 2026, and the price has slipped a contained 14.2% to $0.01266.

The caution is where the window ends: today's reading is 35, Fear, matching the low it first touched on 24 July, and today's price of $0.01266 sits at the window floor too. Even so, the 17-day average of 42 sits just under the midline, and beside the newer listings on the full Fear and Greed Index this crowd has met a falling chart with notable patience. Whether that is conviction or inattention, the next quarter will say.

SENT Fear and Greed Index FAQ

What is the SENT Fear and Greed Index today?

The SENT Fear and Greed Index today is 57/100 on the daily view, showing Neutral. It summarizes live SENT market sentiment on a 0 to 100 scale.

How is the SENT Fear and Greed Index calculated?

CFGI combines price action, impulse, volatility, volume, technicals, social sentiment, dominance, search interest, whale activity and order book pressure into one SENT fear and greed reading.

What is a good SENT Fear and Greed Index reading?

There is no single good reading, because the index measures mood rather than value. Extreme Fear below 25 marks the points where sentiment is most washed out, and Extreme Greed above 75 the points carrying the most risk, so what counts as good depends on whether you are buying or selling.

How accurate is the SENT Fear and Greed Index?

It reads sentiment accurately and predicts price poorly, and those are two different things. The score reflects what the SENT market feels right now across ten live inputs, so treat it as a risk gauge rather than a forecast: it tells you how one-sided the crowd has become, not what happens next.

What does the SENT Fear and Greed Index measure?

It measures the emotional state of the SENT market on a 0 to 100 scale, from extreme fear at 0 to extreme greed at 100. CFGI builds that number from ten indicators including price action, volatility, volume, momentum, technicals and social sentiment, rather than from price alone.

How do I use the SENT Fear and Greed Index?

Most people use it to size risk rather than to time entries. The extreme readings are the useful ones: they flag when the crowd has become one-sided, which is when caution costs least and greed costs most. Read it alongside price and volume, never on its own.

How often is the SENT Fear and Greed Index updated?

The SENT Fear and Greed Index is updated every 15 minutes, so the live reading can change as SENT market conditions shift.

What does a low SENT Fear and Greed score mean?

A low score (0 to 39) signals fear or extreme fear, where traders are cautious, risk-averse or pessimistic about the SENT market.

What does a high SENT Fear and Greed score mean?

A high score (60 to 100) signals greed or extreme greed, where confidence, risk appetite and bullish sentiment dominate the SENT market.

Can I get alerts when the SENT Fear and Greed Index changes?

Yes. CFGI alerts let you track SENT sentiment across daily, 4-hour, 1-hour and 15-minute timeframes. Create alerts for fear, greed, extreme readings or specific SENT Fear and Greed Index score changes.

Yes. The CFGI widget lets you embed a live SENT Fear and Greed Index on your website, so visitors can see current SENT sentiment, live scores and market conditions without you building the data system yourself.
