What Is ORDI?

Bitcoin's restless firstborn.

ORDI is the first BRC-20 token, created in March 2023 when an anonymous developer known as Domo used Bitcoin's Ordinals protocol to inscribe a fungible token standard directly onto satoshis. It was an experiment that became a movement, proof that Bitcoin's blockchain could host tokens at all, and it remains that movement's flag. The CFGI ORDI fear and greed index has scored its crowd since 10 July 2026, and the debut has been the most cheerful kind this index records.

The CFGI read: ORDI is the rare new listing that ends its opening window on a high, in both senses. Across its first 17 days it barely dipped into Fear, its lowest print a 38 out of 100 on 11 July 2026, and it finishes on 26 July 2026 at 63, in Greed, on the very day the price printed its window high of $3.82. An average of 53, with 13 days of Neutral and 3 of Greed, rounds out a crowd that has leaned warm from the start.

ORDI Fear and Greed Index History

Q3 2026 breakdown. The table below updates daily.

The dip was answered immediately. The day after its 38, ORDI put in the window's biggest jump, 19 points from 38 to 57 on 12 July 2026, and by 15 July it had touched its early sentiment peak of 65 with the price at $3.66. Even the wobble was orderly: a 15-point slide from 57 to 42 on 24 July 2026 was fully recovered within two days.

The price did what the score suggested, rising 9.3% across the window from $3.49 to $3.82, and its low of $3.39 coincided with that Fear day, when 84 of the 300 coins on the live Fear and Greed Index for the whole market closed in Fear or worse. Seventeen days is a short book, and this index has watched plenty of warm debuts cool. But finishing at the price high with the crowd in Greed is the strongest opening chapter an asset can write here.

ORDI Fear and Greed Index FAQ

What is the ORDI Fear and Greed Index today?

The ORDI Fear and Greed Index today is 55/100 on the daily view, showing Neutral. It summarizes live ORDI market sentiment on a 0 to 100 scale.

How is the ORDI Fear and Greed Index calculated?

CFGI combines price action, impulse, volatility, volume, technicals, social sentiment, dominance, search interest, whale activity and order book pressure into one ORDI fear and greed reading.

What is a good ORDI Fear and Greed Index reading?

There is no single good reading, because the index measures mood rather than value. Extreme Fear below 25 marks the points where sentiment is most washed out, and Extreme Greed above 75 the points carrying the most risk, so what counts as good depends on whether you are buying or selling.

How accurate is the ORDI Fear and Greed Index?

It reads sentiment accurately and predicts price poorly, and those are two different things. The score reflects what the ORDI market feels right now across ten live inputs, so treat it as a risk gauge rather than a forecast: it tells you how one-sided the crowd has become, not what happens next.

What does the ORDI Fear and Greed Index measure?

It measures the emotional state of the ORDI market on a 0 to 100 scale, from extreme fear at 0 to extreme greed at 100. CFGI builds that number from ten indicators including price action, volatility, volume, momentum, technicals and social sentiment, rather than from price alone.

How do I use the ORDI Fear and Greed Index?

Most people use it to size risk rather than to time entries. The extreme readings are the useful ones: they flag when the crowd has become one-sided, which is when caution costs least and greed costs most. Read it alongside price and volume, never on its own.

How often is the ORDI Fear and Greed Index updated?

The ORDI Fear and Greed Index is updated every 15 minutes, so the live reading can change as ORDI market conditions shift.

What does a low ORDI Fear and Greed score mean?

A low score (0 to 39) signals fear or extreme fear, where traders are cautious, risk-averse or pessimistic about the ORDI market.

What does a high ORDI Fear and Greed score mean?

A high score (60 to 100) signals greed or extreme greed, where confidence, risk appetite and bullish sentiment dominate the ORDI market.

Can I get alerts when the ORDI Fear and Greed Index changes?

Yes. CFGI alerts let you track ORDI sentiment across daily, 4-hour, 1-hour and 15-minute timeframes. Create alerts for fear, greed, extreme readings or specific ORDI Fear and Greed Index score changes.
