What Is Linea?

Calm by construction.

Linea is a zero-knowledge rollup built by Consensys, the company behind MetaMask, to make Ethereum faster and cheaper while settling back to it for security. Its token is deliberately modest: LINEA is not used for gas or governance, existing instead as an ecosystem incentive with a burn mechanism tied to network activity. On the CFGI Linea fear and greed index, the crowd has so far matched that engineering temperament, treating a brand new listing with the composure of a utility.

The CFGI read: Linea joined the index on 10 July 2026 and has barely raised its voice since. Fifteen of its first 17 days closed in Neutral, the price finished the window just 0.6% below where it started, and the whole stretch fits inside a nineteen point band. Its first close, 55 out of 100, is still its highest.

Linea Fear and Greed Index History

Q3 2026 breakdown. The table below updates daily.

Seventeen days is a sketch, not a history, so what we read is the shape. The only disturbance came on 23 July 2026, a nine point drop from 45 to 36 that produced Linea's two Fear days, with the price at $0.00243. The context matters: 122 of the tokens we track closed in Fear or worse that day, so the wobble belonged to the market, not to Linea. By 25 July the score had jumped ten points back to 49.

The price has been as quiet as the mood, drifting between $0.00236 on 12 July and $0.00251 on 14 July before ending at $0.00246. By 26 July 2026 the score stood at 54, in Neutral, just three points off the 51 posted on the whole-market Fear and Greed Index that same day, an average of 47 across its short life so far. A rollup built to be unremarkable infrastructure has, for now, an unremarkable crowd. On this index, that is rarer than it sounds.

LINEA Fear and Greed Index FAQ

What is the LINEA Fear and Greed Index today?

The LINEA Fear and Greed Index today is 29/100 on the daily view, showing Fear. It summarizes live LINEA market sentiment on a 0 to 100 scale.

How is the LINEA Fear and Greed Index calculated?

CFGI combines price action, impulse, volatility, volume, technicals, social sentiment, dominance, search interest, whale activity and order book pressure into one LINEA fear and greed reading.

What is a good LINEA Fear and Greed Index reading?

There is no single good reading, because the index measures mood rather than value. Extreme Fear below 25 marks the points where sentiment is most washed out, and Extreme Greed above 75 the points carrying the most risk, so what counts as good depends on whether you are buying or selling.

How accurate is the LINEA Fear and Greed Index?

It reads sentiment accurately and predicts price poorly, and those are two different things. The score reflects what the LINEA market feels right now across ten live inputs, so treat it as a risk gauge rather than a forecast: it tells you how one-sided the crowd has become, not what happens next.

What does the LINEA Fear and Greed Index measure?

It measures the emotional state of the LINEA market on a 0 to 100 scale, from extreme fear at 0 to extreme greed at 100. CFGI builds that number from ten indicators including price action, volatility, volume, momentum, technicals and social sentiment, rather than from price alone.

How do I use the LINEA Fear and Greed Index?

Most people use it to size risk rather than to time entries. The extreme readings are the useful ones: they flag when the crowd has become one-sided, which is when caution costs least and greed costs most. Read it alongside price and volume, never on its own.

How often is the LINEA Fear and Greed Index updated?

The LINEA Fear and Greed Index is updated every 15 minutes, so the live reading can change as LINEA market conditions shift.

What does a low LINEA Fear and Greed score mean?

A low score (0 to 39) signals fear or extreme fear, where traders are cautious, risk-averse or pessimistic about the LINEA market.

What does a high LINEA Fear and Greed score mean?

A high score (60 to 100) signals greed or extreme greed, where confidence, risk appetite and bullish sentiment dominate the LINEA market.

Can I get alerts when the LINEA Fear and Greed Index changes?

Yes. CFGI alerts let you track LINEA sentiment across daily, 4-hour, 1-hour and 15-minute timeframes. Create alerts for fear, greed, extreme readings or specific LINEA Fear and Greed Index score changes.
