What Is Lido DAO?
Staked and serene.
Lido is the giant of Ethereum liquid staking: deposit ETH, receive stETH, and keep your liquidity while the validators underneath earn yield. Live since 2020, it is one of the oldest blue-chip protocols in DeFi, and LDO is the token that governs the DAO steering it. It joined the CFGI per-asset index on 8 July 2026 and arrived the way incumbents like to: already confident.
The CFGI read: 16 of Lido DAO's first 19 days closed in Greed, around an average of 63 out of 100, and the crowd has held close to that mood throughout. Fear has barely registered, and a 13-day Greed-or-better run from 12 to 24 July is the spine of its whole record so far. The price honoured the mood, rising 18% across the window from $0.32 to $0.38.
Lido DAO Fear and Greed Index History
Q3 2026 breakdown. The table below updates daily.
The single wobble came early. A 14-point drop on 10 July took the score to its 49 floor with the price at $0.30, and the market offers no alibi: just 78 of the 299 coins we tracked that day were in Fear or worse. Two days later an 11-point jump to 62 opened the long Greed run, and the question was settled.
The peak reading, 78 out of 100 on 17 July at $0.37, came five days before the price high of $0.40 on 22 July, sentiment leading price rather than chasing it. Lido DAO closes the window at 60, in Greed, the calmest kind of conviction currently visible on the market-wide Fear and Greed Index. For a protocol whose product is patience, the crowd fits.

LDO Fear and Greed Index FAQ
What is the LDO Fear and Greed Index today?
The LDO Fear and Greed Index today is 41/100 on the daily view, showing Neutral. It summarizes live LDO market sentiment on a 0 to 100 scale.
How is the LDO Fear and Greed Index calculated?
CFGI combines price action, impulse, volatility, volume, technicals, social sentiment, dominance, search interest, whale activity and order book pressure into one LDO fear and greed reading.
What is a good LDO Fear and Greed Index reading?
There is no single good reading, because the index measures mood rather than value. Extreme Fear below 25 marks the points where sentiment is most washed out, and Extreme Greed above 75 the points carrying the most risk, so what counts as good depends on whether you are buying or selling.
How accurate is the LDO Fear and Greed Index?
It reads sentiment accurately and predicts price poorly, and those are two different things. The score reflects what the LDO market feels right now across ten live inputs, so treat it as a risk gauge rather than a forecast: it tells you how one-sided the crowd has become, not what happens next.
What does the LDO Fear and Greed Index measure?
It measures the emotional state of the LDO market on a 0 to 100 scale, from extreme fear at 0 to extreme greed at 100. CFGI builds that number from ten indicators including price action, volatility, volume, momentum, technicals and social sentiment, rather than from price alone.
How do I use the LDO Fear and Greed Index?
Most people use it to size risk rather than to time entries. The extreme readings are the useful ones: they flag when the crowd has become one-sided, which is when caution costs least and greed costs most. Read it alongside price and volume, never on its own.
How often is the LDO Fear and Greed Index updated?
The LDO Fear and Greed Index is updated every 15 minutes, so the live reading can change as LDO market conditions shift.
What does a low LDO Fear and Greed score mean?
A low score (0 to 39) signals fear or extreme fear, where traders are cautious, risk-averse or pessimistic about the LDO market.
What does a high LDO Fear and Greed score mean?
A high score (60 to 100) signals greed or extreme greed, where confidence, risk appetite and bullish sentiment dominate the LDO market.
