What Is Floki?

The Viking, weathered.

Floki is the memecoin named after Elon Musk's Shiba Inu puppy, launched in 2021 with Viking branding and, unusually for the genre, a build-out to defend: a metaverse game, DeFi products and a token launchpad have all grown up around the dog. On the CFGI Floki fear and greed index, though, the raiding-party bravado is nowhere in the data. This is one of the more battle-worn crowds on the board.

The CFGI read: Floki logged 130 days of Fear in the past 365, and by average score it ranks 23rd most fearful of the tokens we track across a full year. Its single day of Extreme Fear, 15 out of 100 on 4 June 2026 with the price at $0.00002484, came inside the whole-market index's longest Extreme Fear run of the year, three days from 4 to 6 June, on a date when 57 of the 62 tokens scored with it closed in Fear or worse and 9 were in Extreme Fear. When the market finally cracked, Floki went all the way down with it.

Floki Fear and Greed Index History

Q3 2026 breakdown. The table below updates daily.

The year's high spirits came early in January: a peak of 76, in Greed, on 4 January 2026 with the price at $0.00005708, inside a six-day run of Greed or better from 2 to 7 January. The crowd is capable of sharp turns in both directions, a 31-point leap on 13 October 2025 from 21 to 52 and a 23-point drop on 13 May 2026 from 58 to 35, but the drift underneath ran one way: the price fell 83% across the year, from $0.00013045 on 26 July 2025, the very first day and the high of the window, to $0.0000222 now, with the low of $0.0000208 set on 24 July 2026.

The wear shows in the streaks. The longest run of Fear or worse lasted 12 days, from 21 June to 2 July 2026, against a longest run of sustained Greed of just six days all year. And yet the window closes at 57, in Neutral, comfortably above the crowd's average of 43 and above the main Fear and Greed Index at 51. A weathered crowd, but evidently not a finished one.

Floki Fear and Greed Index FAQ

What is the Floki Fear and Greed Index today?

The Floki Fear and Greed Index today is 39/100 on the daily view, showing Fear. It summarizes live Floki market sentiment on a 0 to 100 scale.

How is the Floki Fear and Greed Index calculated?

CFGI combines price action, impulse, volatility, volume, technicals, social sentiment, dominance, search interest, whale activity and order book pressure into one Floki fear and greed reading.

What is a good Floki Fear and Greed Index reading?

There is no single good reading, because the index measures mood rather than value. Extreme Fear below 25 marks the points where sentiment is most washed out, and Extreme Greed above 75 the points carrying the most risk, so what counts as good depends on whether you are buying or selling.

How accurate is the Floki Fear and Greed Index?

It reads sentiment accurately and predicts price poorly, and those are two different things. The score reflects what the Floki market feels right now across ten live inputs, so treat it as a risk gauge rather than a forecast: it tells you how one-sided the crowd has become, not what happens next.

What does the Floki Fear and Greed Index measure?

It measures the emotional state of the Floki market on a 0 to 100 scale, from extreme fear at 0 to extreme greed at 100. CFGI builds that number from ten indicators including price action, volatility, volume, momentum, technicals and social sentiment, rather than from price alone.

How do I use the Floki Fear and Greed Index?

Most people use it to size risk rather than to time entries. The extreme readings are the useful ones: they flag when the crowd has become one-sided, which is when caution costs least and greed costs most. Read it alongside price and volume, never on its own.

How often is the Floki Fear and Greed Index updated?

The Floki Fear and Greed Index is updated every 15 minutes, so the live reading can change as Floki market conditions shift.

What does a low Floki Fear and Greed score mean?

A low score (0 to 39) signals fear or extreme fear, where traders are cautious, risk-averse or pessimistic about the Floki market.

What does a high Floki Fear and Greed score mean?

A high score (60 to 100) signals greed or extreme greed, where confidence, risk appetite and bullish sentiment dominate the Floki market.
