What Is Celo?
The steady idealist.
Celo launched in 2020 as a mobile-first blockchain built around a simple idea, payments and stablecoins that work for anyone with a phone rather than a trading terminal, and it later completed one of crypto's more ambitious migrations by becoming an Ethereum Layer 2. On the CFGI Celo fear and greed index it behaves exactly as that mission-driven history suggests: quietly, and mostly in the middle.
The CFGI read: Celo has spent 16 of its first 17 days on the index in Neutral. Its single day of Fear, a floor of 36 out of 100 on 19 July 2026, came on the broadest fear day of the past year for crypto, when 135 of the coins we track closed in Fear or worse. In other words, the only thing that has moved this crowd so far is the entire market moving at once.
Celo Fear and Greed Index History
Q3 2026 breakdown. The table below updates daily.
Since its first reading on 10 July 2026, Celo has averaged 49 out of 100, almost the exact centre of the scale, with a high of 58 on 23 July and that one dip to 36. The sharpest move was downward, an 18 point fall from 58 to 40 on 24 July, but even that only carried the score to the lower edge of Neutral. The price has been similarly undramatic, easing 2.6% over the window from a high of $0.07 on 22 July.
Seventeen days is a short record and we treat it as one. What it shows so far is a crowd that does not startle: no Extreme Fear, no Greed, one flinch on the day the whole market flinched with it. That composure, or complacency, is exactly the kind of baseline Fear and Greed Index readings exist to test, because the first zone Celo breaks out of will say more than the sixteen days it spent in the middle.

CELO Fear and Greed Index FAQ
What is the CELO Fear and Greed Index today?
The CELO Fear and Greed Index today is 33/100 on the daily view, showing Fear. It summarizes live CELO market sentiment on a 0 to 100 scale.
How is the CELO Fear and Greed Index calculated?
CFGI combines price action, impulse, volatility, volume, technicals, social sentiment, dominance, search interest, whale activity and order book pressure into one CELO fear and greed reading.
What is a good CELO Fear and Greed Index reading?
There is no single good reading, because the index measures mood rather than value. Extreme Fear below 25 marks the points where sentiment is most washed out, and Extreme Greed above 75 the points carrying the most risk, so what counts as good depends on whether you are buying or selling.
How accurate is the CELO Fear and Greed Index?
It reads sentiment accurately and predicts price poorly, and those are two different things. The score reflects what the CELO market feels right now across ten live inputs, so treat it as a risk gauge rather than a forecast: it tells you how one-sided the crowd has become, not what happens next.
What does the CELO Fear and Greed Index measure?
It measures the emotional state of the CELO market on a 0 to 100 scale, from extreme fear at 0 to extreme greed at 100. CFGI builds that number from ten indicators including price action, volatility, volume, momentum, technicals and social sentiment, rather than from price alone.
How do I use the CELO Fear and Greed Index?
Most people use it to size risk rather than to time entries. The extreme readings are the useful ones: they flag when the crowd has become one-sided, which is when caution costs least and greed costs most. Read it alongside price and volume, never on its own.
How often is the CELO Fear and Greed Index updated?
The CELO Fear and Greed Index is updated every 15 minutes, so the live reading can change as CELO market conditions shift.
What does a low CELO Fear and Greed score mean?
A low score (0 to 39) signals fear or extreme fear, where traders are cautious, risk-averse or pessimistic about the CELO market.
