What Is Audius?

Steady song, jumpy crowd.

Audius is a decentralised music streaming protocol where artists upload directly, keep control of their catalogues, and get paid without a label or platform in between. AUDIO is its governance and staking token. It is one of the longest-running attempts to make crypto do something cultural rather than purely financial, and since 10 July 2026 the CFGI Audius fear and greed index has been reading the mood of the crowd holding it.

The CFGI read: The striking thing about Audius's first 17 days is the gap between a placid price and a jumpy crowd. The price barely moved, down 3.4% overall, trading the whole window between $0.0131 and $0.0137. Sentiment, meanwhile, fell 17 points to its low of 26 out of 100 on 19 July 2026, the day fear ran broadest across our coverage with 135 of 300 tracked coins in Fear or worse, then leapt 26 points the very next day to its high of 52. A near-flat asset, an emotional crowd.

Audius Fear and Greed Index History

Q3 2026 breakdown. The table below updates daily.

The opening ledger leans grim: 9 closes in Fear against 8 in Neutral, none in Greed, and an average reading of 38, a crowd that spent most of its first fortnight below the line. Its longest run in Fear or worse lasted five straight days, from 11 to 15 July 2026, before the mood found a floor.

Since the 19 July whipsaw the reading has come back to 41, Neutral, as of 26 July. The pattern so far suggests Audius holders take their cue from the room: the worst day was everyone's worst day, and the recovery came with the broader turn on the combined crypto and stock Fear and Greed Index. Whether a crowd built around musicians and listeners eventually develops a mood of its own is what the next quarter of scores will show.

AUDIO Fear and Greed Index FAQ

What is the AUDIO Fear and Greed Index today?

The AUDIO Fear and Greed Index today is 32/100 on the daily view, showing Fear. It summarizes live AUDIO market sentiment on a 0 to 100 scale.

How is the AUDIO Fear and Greed Index calculated?

CFGI combines price action, impulse, volatility, volume, technicals, social sentiment, dominance, search interest, whale activity and order book pressure into one AUDIO fear and greed reading.

What is a good AUDIO Fear and Greed Index reading?

There is no single good reading, because the index measures mood rather than value. Extreme Fear below 25 marks the points where sentiment is most washed out, and Extreme Greed above 75 the points carrying the most risk, so what counts as good depends on whether you are buying or selling.

How accurate is the AUDIO Fear and Greed Index?

It reads sentiment accurately and predicts price poorly, and those are two different things. The score reflects what the AUDIO market feels right now across ten live inputs, so treat it as a risk gauge rather than a forecast: it tells you how one-sided the crowd has become, not what happens next.

What does the AUDIO Fear and Greed Index measure?

It measures the emotional state of the AUDIO market on a 0 to 100 scale, from extreme fear at 0 to extreme greed at 100. CFGI builds that number from ten indicators including price action, volatility, volume, momentum, technicals and social sentiment, rather than from price alone.

How do I use the AUDIO Fear and Greed Index?

Most people use it to size risk rather than to time entries. The extreme readings are the useful ones: they flag when the crowd has become one-sided, which is when caution costs least and greed costs most. Read it alongside price and volume, never on its own.

How often is the AUDIO Fear and Greed Index updated?

The AUDIO Fear and Greed Index is updated every 15 minutes, so the live reading can change as AUDIO market conditions shift.

What does a low AUDIO Fear and Greed score mean?

A low score (0 to 39) signals fear or extreme fear, where traders are cautious, risk-averse or pessimistic about the AUDIO market.

What does a high AUDIO Fear and Greed score mean?

A high score (60 to 100) signals greed or extreme greed, where confidence, risk appetite and bullish sentiment dominate the AUDIO market.

Can I get alerts when the AUDIO Fear and Greed Index changes?
