What Is TransDigm?
Four figures, thin skin.
TransDigm makes the small, highly engineered parts an aircraft cannot fly without: actuators, pumps, valves, ignition systems, latches and seat mechanisms, mostly sole source and certified into an airframe for its whole service life. Around half its revenue, and the large majority of its profit, comes from replacing those parts after the original sale, which is why the Cleveland company is valued like a toll booth on the global fleet.
On the CFGI TransDigm fear and greed index the crowd does not behave like the owner of a toll booth. In 273 sessions between June 2025 and July 2026 it closed 115 days in Fear or worse and 14 in Extreme Fear, the 14th highest count of the stocks we rank.
The CFGI read: On 4 September 2025 TransDigm printed 14 out of 100 at $1,281.81, and it was the only stock on the entire board in Extreme Fear that day. Of the 247 names scored, 73 sat in Fear or worse and exactly 1 was in Extreme Fear. A business with contracted aftermarket demand held the most frightened crowd in the market, on a day the market itself was not especially frightened. A price chart cannot show you that.
TransDigm Fear and Greed Index History
Q3 2026 breakdown. The table below updates daily.
The longest siege came the following spring. From 5 to 31 March 2026 the score spent nineteen consecutive sessions in Fear or worse, the longest run of its window, and inside it the price fell to $1,132.88 on 30 March 2026. That stretch swallowed 20 March 2026, when 169 of the 245 names scored sat in Fear or worse, the broadest wave of stock pessimism the combined crypto and stock Fear and Greed Index captured all year. For once its anxiety was borrowed.
The falls are violent and the recoveries are not. On 3 February 2026 the score dropped 41 points in one session, from 59 to 18, while the largest single day gain of the window was 29 points, on 20 October 2025, from 27 to 56. TransDigm has rarely reached for Extreme Greed, and its best reading, 76 out of 100 on 16 January 2026 at $1,450, arrived during a year in which the price fell 16% from $1,470.68 to $1,235.35. An average of 44 out of 100 makes it the 19th most fearful of the stocks we track.
It ends at exactly 50 out of 100 on 24 July 2026, Neutral, the midpoint of a dial it rarely sits still on. Its calmest stretch, sixteen sessions in Greed or better, ran from 27 June to 21 July 2025, right at the start, and the price high of $1,620.83 followed on 30 July 2025. Everything since has been the crowd paying for that summer.

TransDigm Fear and Greed Index FAQ
What is the TransDigm Fear and Greed Index today?
The TransDigm Fear and Greed Index today is 44/100 on the daily view, showing Neutral. It summarizes live TransDigm market sentiment on a 0 to 100 scale.
How is the TransDigm Fear and Greed Index calculated?
CFGI combines price action, impulse, volatility, volume, technicals, social sentiment, dominance, search interest, whale activity and order book pressure into one TransDigm fear and greed reading.
What is a good TransDigm Fear and Greed Index reading?
There is no single good reading, because the index measures mood rather than value. Extreme Fear below 25 marks the points where sentiment is most washed out, and Extreme Greed above 75 the points carrying the most risk, so what counts as good depends on whether you are buying or selling.
How accurate is the TransDigm Fear and Greed Index?
It reads sentiment accurately and predicts price poorly, and those are two different things. The score reflects what the TransDigm market feels right now across ten live inputs, so treat it as a risk gauge rather than a forecast: it tells you how one-sided the crowd has become, not what happens next.
What does the TransDigm Fear and Greed Index measure?
It measures the emotional state of the TransDigm market on a 0 to 100 scale, from extreme fear at 0 to extreme greed at 100. CFGI builds that number from ten indicators including price action, volatility, volume, momentum, technicals and social sentiment, rather than from price alone.
How do I use the TransDigm Fear and Greed Index?
Most people use it to size risk rather than to time entries. The extreme readings are the useful ones: they flag when the crowd has become one-sided, which is when caution costs least and greed costs most. Read it alongside price and volume, never on its own.
How often is the TransDigm Fear and Greed Index updated?
The TransDigm Fear and Greed Index is updated every 15 minutes, so the live reading can change as TransDigm market conditions shift.
What does a low TransDigm Fear and Greed score mean?
A low score (0 to 39) signals fear or extreme fear, where traders are cautious, risk-averse or pessimistic about the TransDigm market.
What does a high TransDigm Fear and Greed score mean?
A high score (60 to 100) signals greed or extreme greed, where confidence, risk appetite and bullish sentiment dominate the TransDigm market.
Can I get alerts when the TransDigm Fear and Greed Index changes?
Yes. CFGI alerts let you track TransDigm sentiment across daily, 4-hour, 1-hour and 15-minute timeframes. Create alerts for fear, greed, extreme readings or specific TransDigm Fear and Greed Index score changes.
