TJX Companies Market Sentiment Today

TJX Companies market sentiment today is shaped by price action, volatility, trading volume, technical indicators, social activity and wider market behaviour. CFGI combines these signals to show how TJX Companies sentiment is changing throughout the day.

Compare TJX Companies with the whole-market reading on the Stock Market Fear and Greed Index, or every company on the stock fear and greed directory.

What Is TJX Companies?

Bargain shelves, jumpy crowd.

TJX Companies is the off price retailer behind TJ Maxx, TK Maxx, Marshalls, HomeGoods and Winners, a business that buys other people's excess branded inventory and sells it cheaply in a deliberately chaotic treasure hunt. It is one of the few retail models that does better when shoppers trade down: a defensive name in a discretionary sector.

The CFGI TJX fear and greed index shows a crowd that mostly agrees with that description and occasionally forgets it. Across 273 sessions between June 2025 and July 2026 it closed 118 days in Greed or better and averaged 54 out of 100, the 199th most fearful of the stocks we rank, and still found 6 days in Extreme Fear.

The CFGI read: June 2026 contains the entire personality. On 12 June the price hit its window high of $168.41, in the middle of a three day Extreme Greed streak running from 10 to 12 June. Thirteen days later, on 25 June, the score fell 38 points in a session, from 61 to 23, and by 29 June it printed 15 out of 100, its lowest of the window, at $151.23, still well above where the year began. Only 7 of the 246 stocks scored that day were in Extreme Fear. This was TJX's own panic, not the market's.

TJX Companies Fear and Greed Index History

Q3 2026 breakdown. The table below updates daily.

That was not the only time the crowd ran ahead of itself. The best reading of the window, 83 out of 100 on 21 August 2025 at $137.51, came in a summer when the stock was still recovering from a low of $121.35 on 16 July 2025, after a ten session run in Greed or better from 4 to 15 August. TJX spends most of its life on the confident side of the dial: 109 sessions in Greed, plus 9 in Extreme Greed.

The corrections are just as decisive. A ten session run in Fear or worse from 4 to 15 May 2026 ended with a 30 point jump on 18 May, from 21 to 51, and the three day Extreme Fear spell at the end of June was over by 1 July. Nothing here lasts long. An off price retailer is valued as a defensive one right up to the moment its own numbers land, which is when the market-wide Fear and Greed Index stops looking like the sector average.

It ends at 54 out of 100 on 24 July 2026, exactly its own average, with the price up 24.4% to $155.17. Six Extreme Fear closes rank it 67th of the stocks we rank on that measure, which sits oddly beside 199th for average fear. Both are true: this crowd is calm most of the time and briefly hysterical the rest.

TJX Companies Fear and Greed Index FAQ

What is the TJX Companies Fear and Greed Index today?

The TJX Companies Fear and Greed Index today is 51/100 on the daily view, showing Neutral. It summarizes live TJX Companies market sentiment on a 0 to 100 scale.

How is the TJX Companies Fear and Greed Index calculated?

CFGI combines price action, impulse, volatility, volume, technicals, social sentiment, dominance, search interest, whale activity and order book pressure into one TJX Companies fear and greed reading.

What is a good TJX Companies Fear and Greed Index reading?

There is no single good reading, because the index measures mood rather than value. Extreme Fear below 25 marks the points where sentiment is most washed out, and Extreme Greed above 75 the points carrying the most risk, so what counts as good depends on whether you are buying or selling.

How accurate is the TJX Companies Fear and Greed Index?

It reads sentiment accurately and predicts price poorly, and those are two different things. The score reflects what the TJX Companies market feels right now across ten live inputs, so treat it as a risk gauge rather than a forecast: it tells you how one-sided the crowd has become, not what happens next.

What does the TJX Companies Fear and Greed Index measure?

It measures the emotional state of the TJX Companies market on a 0 to 100 scale, from extreme fear at 0 to extreme greed at 100. CFGI builds that number from ten indicators including price action, volatility, volume, momentum, technicals and social sentiment, rather than from price alone.

How do I use the TJX Companies Fear and Greed Index?

Most people use it to size risk rather than to time entries. The extreme readings are the useful ones: they flag when the crowd has become one-sided, which is when caution costs least and greed costs most. Read it alongside price and volume, never on its own.

How often is the TJX Companies Fear and Greed Index updated?

The TJX Companies Fear and Greed Index is updated every 15 minutes, so the live reading can change as TJX Companies market conditions shift.

What does a low TJX Companies Fear and Greed score mean?

A low score (0 to 39) signals fear or extreme fear, where traders are cautious, risk-averse or pessimistic about the TJX Companies market.

What does a high TJX Companies Fear and Greed score mean?

A high score (60 to 100) signals greed or extreme greed, where confidence, risk appetite and bullish sentiment dominate the TJX Companies market.
