Terms of Service

These Terms govern your access to and use of CFGI.io, including the website, accounts, crypto and stock Fear and Greed indices, charts, market pages, alerts, widgets, API, developer credits, paid plans and related services.

Account creation is acceptance.

When you create an account, use a paid feature, generate an API key or embed a widget, these Terms apply. CFGI is market sentiment software, not a broker, exchange, custodian or financial adviser.

Agreement to these Terms

By visiting CFGI.io, creating an account, checking the account creation acceptance box, using a paid feature, buying developer credits, generating an API key, embedding a widget or using any CFGI service, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy & Cookie Policy and our Disclaimer. If you do not agree, do not use CFGI.

When you create an account, CFGI may store a record that you accepted the Terms and related policies, including the date, account details, refund-policy acceptance and technical evidence needed to prove acceptance.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live if higher, to create an account or use paid CFGI services. If you use CFGI on behalf of a company or other organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.

You must not use CFGI if you are prohibited from doing so by law, sanctions, export controls, court order or rules that apply to you.

What CFGI provides

CFGI provides market sentiment data and tools, including:

  • Crypto Fear and Greed scores for the market and supported crypto assets.
  • Stock Market Fear and Greed information and related stock-market sentiment pages.
  • Historical charts, indicator breakdowns, educational content and market commentary.
  • CFGI Advanced alerts for sentiment, score, timeframe, token and market conditions.
  • Developer API access, API keys, usage tracking, rate limits and developer credits.
  • Free widgets and embeddable visual modules for supported market and token sentiment.
  • Account, billing, plan management, support and notification features.

CFGI may add, change, limit, suspend or remove features at any time, including supported assets, timeframes, alert channels, API fields, pricing, credit packs and widget options.

No financial advice or trade execution

CFGI is an information and analytics service. CFGI does not provide financial, investment, legal, tax or trading advice. CFGI does not recommend that you buy, sell, hold, short, lend, borrow or transact in any asset.

CFGI is not a broker, exchange, custodian, investment adviser, financial adviser, portfolio manager or fiduciary. CFGI does not place trades, route orders, manage funds, custody assets, connect to user wallets, issue tokens or automate transactions for users.

Your responsibility

You are solely responsible for decisions you make using or not using CFGI. You agree that you will not treat CFGI scores, alerts, API data, charts, widgets, examples or commentary as personalised advice or as a standalone reason to enter or exit a position.

  • You must do your own research and verify data before relying on it.
  • You must understand the risks of crypto assets, stocks and any other market you follow.
  • You must comply with the laws, regulations, tax rules and platform rules that apply to you.
  • You must decide whether any use of CFGI is permitted for your business, jurisdiction, compliance duties and risk controls.
  • You must not use CFGI if doing so is unlawful where you are located.

Accounts and security

You must provide accurate account information and keep it up to date. You are responsible for your login credentials, API keys, devices, browser sessions and any activity under your account.

You must notify us promptly if you believe your account or API key has been compromised. We may suspend, restrict or terminate access if we reasonably believe your account is being misused or creates risk for CFGI, users or third parties.

Plans, billing, trials and credits

Paid subscriptions, trials, developer credits and other paid features are billed through Stripe unless we state otherwise. Prices may be shown in USD or another displayed currency and may exclude taxes, card fees, bank fees or currency conversion costs.

  • Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before renewal.
  • You can manage eligible subscriptions through the billing portal where available.
  • Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
  • Trials may convert into paid subscriptions unless cancelled before the trial ends.
  • We may change prices, credit conversion, limits or plan features prospectively.

You are responsible for taxes, bank charges, card fees, currency conversion costs and failed-payment issues connected with your purchase.

Digital delivery and refund policy

CFGI provides digital services, live data access, account features, API credits, alerting tools, widgets and other intangible products. Because these services are delivered immediately or made available shortly after purchase, all fees are final and non-refundable except where required by law or where CFGI expressly agrees otherwise in writing.

  • Subscription fees are not refunded or prorated for unused time after cancellation, downgrade, non-use or account inactivity.
  • Developer credits, usage packs, API access, alert access, trials converted to paid plans and one-off purchases are non-refundable once delivered, allocated, activated, accessed or used.
  • Failure to use the service, misunderstanding what was purchased, market losses, dissatisfaction with market conditions or a change of mind does not create a refund right.
  • Refund requests must be sent to [email protected] with the account email, payment date, payment amount and reason for the request.
  • If CFGI issues a discretionary refund, it does not waive these Terms or create a right to future refunds.

Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory consumer rights. Where you have statutory cancellation rights for digital services, those rights apply according to law. If you request immediate access to digital content, credits, API access or paid features, refunds may be reduced or unavailable to the extent permitted by law.

Chargebacks and payment disputes

If you believe a payment is wrong, duplicated, unauthorised or not as described, contact [email protected] first so we can investigate. A card chargeback or payment dispute can immediately reverse the payment and may create processor, card-network, evidence and administration costs for CFGI.

You agree not to file a false, fraudulent, abusive or bad-faith chargeback after receiving access to CFGI services, credits, API usage, alerts or other digital features. Filing a false or abusive chargeback is a material breach of these Terms.

  • We may suspend or terminate your account, API keys, alerts, credits and paid features while a payment dispute is open.
  • We may permanently revoke access if a payment is reversed, disputed in bad faith, reported as unauthorised despite authorised account use, or associated with fraud risk.
  • We may submit evidence to Stripe, card networks, banks and payment processors, including account creation records, Terms acceptance, refund policy, login records, IP/device signals, API usage, alert usage, credit allocation, checkout records, support messages and service-access logs.
  • We may recover unpaid amounts, reversed payments, chargeback fees, dispute fees, collection costs and reasonable legal costs to the extent permitted by law.
  • You must not create a new account, use another account or generate new API keys to avoid a payment dispute, unpaid balance, suspension or fraud review.

We reserve the right to accept or contest any dispute. Providing access again after a payment issue is resolved is at CFGI's discretion.

Alerts

Alerts are convenience notifications. They are not guaranteed to arrive, arrive on time, or reflect conditions at the moment you read them. Market conditions can change before, during or after delivery.

You are responsible for configuring alerts correctly and deciding how to use them. CFGI is not responsible for missed opportunities, trades, losses or other outcomes connected to alert delivery or non-delivery.

API and developer use

API keys are for your account only. You must keep them private and must not sell, leak, share, publish or misuse them. You are responsible for API activity under your keys.

  • You must comply with API limits, credit rules, caching rules and technical instructions.
  • You must not bypass rate limits, scrape aggressively, overload the service or interfere with normal operation.
  • You must not use API data in a way that suggests CFGI endorses your product, trades, recommendations or claims.
  • You must not use CFGI API data as the sole input for safety-critical, legally binding, regulated, execution or high-risk decision systems.
  • You must not resell or redistribute raw CFGI API data as a competing data feed unless CFGI agrees in writing.
  • We may rotate, revoke, throttle or suspend API keys to protect the platform or enforce these Terms.

Widgets and attribution

CFGI widgets are provided for lawful website embeds, dashboards, blogs and community pages. Free widgets must keep CFGI attribution and links intact. You must not hide, remove, obscure or misrepresent CFGI attribution.

You may not frame or embed CFGI in a way that is deceptive, unlawful, malicious, misleading, abusive or likely to damage CFGI, users or third parties.

Widgets may change, stop loading, be rate limited or be withdrawn if abused. You are responsible for how CFGI widgets appear on your site and for any claims you make around them.

Acceptable use

You must not:

  • Use CFGI for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, harmful or misleading activity.
  • Attempt to access accounts, systems, APIs, data or features without permission.
  • Reverse engineer, copy, resell or redistribute CFGI data or functionality except as expressly allowed.
  • Remove proprietary notices, attribution, branding or links where they are required.
  • Upload or transmit malware, spam, credential stuffing attempts, automated abuse or security attacks.
  • Use CFGI to make claims that CFGI provides financial advice, trade signals, guaranteed returns or price predictions.
  • Use CFGI in a product or workflow that violates sanctions, export controls, market-abuse rules, consumer-protection rules or privacy laws.

Intellectual property

CFGI, including its content, design, software, data presentation, charts, scores, indicators, logos, branding and documentation, is owned by CFGI or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use CFGI for your own lawful use. This licence does not transfer ownership and does not allow resale, sublicensing, bulk extraction or competing use unless we agree in writing.

Third-party services and links

CFGI may integrate with or link to third-party services such as Stripe, Cloudflare, Telegram, market data providers, analytics providers or external websites. We are not responsible for third-party services, content, policies, outages, errors or fees.

Feedback

If you send us feedback, suggestions, bug reports, ideas or feature requests, you allow CFGI to use them without restriction or compensation. This does not transfer ownership of your private data or confidential information.

Disclaimers

CFGI is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of accuracy, reliability, availability, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, non-infringement and uninterrupted operation.

Data may be delayed, wrong, incomplete or unavailable. Features may change. Alerts may fail. APIs may be limited. Widgets may not load. You use CFGI at your own risk.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CFGI and its owners, directors, employees, contractors, suppliers and affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, data, business opportunity, trading outcome, investment value or financial loss arising from or relating to CFGI.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold CFGI harmless from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs and expenses arising from your use of CFGI, your breach of these Terms, your misuse of data, your products or services, or your violation of law or third-party rights.

Changes, suspension and termination

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page. Continued use of CFGI after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

We may suspend, limit or terminate access to CFGI if we reasonably believe you breached these Terms, created legal or security risk, abused the service, failed to pay, or used CFGI in a way that may harm CFGI or others.

Survival, severability and assignment

Sections that by their nature should continue after your account ends will survive, including payment, intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity and dispute provisions. If any part of these Terms is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.

You may not assign your account or rights under these Terms without our consent. We may assign these Terms as part of a merger, acquisition, restructuring, financing or sale of assets.

Governing law

Unless mandatory local law requires otherwise, these Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes will be handled by the courts of England and Wales.
