Spotify Market Sentiment Today

Spotify market sentiment today is shaped by price action, volatility, trading volume, technical indicators, social activity and wider market behaviour. CFGI combines these signals to show how Spotify sentiment is changing throughout the day.

Compare Spotify with the whole-market reading on the Stock Market Fear and Greed Index, or every company on the stock fear and greed directory.

What Is Spotify?

The de-rated growth crowd.

Spotify is the world's largest audio streaming service, launched in Sweden in 2006 and now carrying more than 700 million listeners on a mix of paid subscriptions and advertising. In January 2026 founder Daniel Ek moved up to executive chairman, leaving co-chief executives Gustav Söderström and Alex Norström to run it.

On the CFGI Spotify fear and greed index none of that is what the crowd is pricing. It is pricing a multiple. Across 273 scored sessions between June 2025 and July 2026 the stock closed 103 days in Fear or worse, 57 in Greed, and not one in Extreme Greed.

The CFGI read: Spotify's mood and its price bottomed on the same session. Its lowest reading, 13 out of 100 on 5 February 2026, printed at $412.75, the cheapest the stock traded all window, and it had company: that was the widest Extreme Fear day we have recorded across stocks, with 34 of the 246 names scored in Extreme Fear and 103 in Fear or worse. The revealing half came next. On 10 February the score jumped 49 points, from 16 to 65, the biggest one day move this crowd made in either direction.

Spotify Fear and Greed Index History

Q3 2026 breakdown. The table below updates daily.

The peak sits at the opposite end of the calendar and the opposite end of the price. Spotify's best reading, 79 out of 100 on 26 June 2025, landed at $775.90, the most expensive close of the window, and it still stopped short of Extreme Greed, a zone this name never touched in 273 sessions. Five days later the score fell 42 points, from 78 to 36, and the long re-rating began. By 24 July 2026 the price was 33.9% lower at $483.05.

The fear was concentrated rather than constant. Seven closes in Extreme Fear rank Spotify 53rd of the stocks we rank on that measure, but its average of 45 out of 100 makes it the 27th most fearful crowd on the board, which is the harder number. This is not a crowd that panics often, it is one that lives below the midpoint. Its longest anxious stretch ran eleven sessions in Fear or worse, from 8 to 23 January 2026. Being valued on subscriptions you have not sold yet is exactly the pressure the full Fear and Greed Index picks up across the whole market.

Confidence returns in small doses. The longest run in Greed or better lasted seven sessions, from 27 February to 9 March 2026, and the score signed off at 46 out of 100 on 24 July 2026, back in Neutral. Scored on CFGI since 5 January 2023, this crowd reprices slowly on the way down and violently on the way back.

Spotify Fear and Greed Index FAQ

What is the Spotify Fear and Greed Index today?

The Spotify Fear and Greed Index today is 54/100 on the daily view, showing Neutral. It summarizes live Spotify market sentiment on a 0 to 100 scale.

How is the Spotify Fear and Greed Index calculated?

CFGI combines price action, impulse, volatility, volume, technicals, social sentiment, dominance, search interest, whale activity and order book pressure into one Spotify fear and greed reading.

What is a good Spotify Fear and Greed Index reading?

There is no single good reading, because the index measures mood rather than value. Extreme Fear below 25 marks the points where sentiment is most washed out, and Extreme Greed above 75 the points carrying the most risk, so what counts as good depends on whether you are buying or selling.

How accurate is the Spotify Fear and Greed Index?

It reads sentiment accurately and predicts price poorly, and those are two different things. The score reflects what the Spotify market feels right now across ten live inputs, so treat it as a risk gauge rather than a forecast: it tells you how one-sided the crowd has become, not what happens next.

What does the Spotify Fear and Greed Index measure?

It measures the emotional state of the Spotify market on a 0 to 100 scale, from extreme fear at 0 to extreme greed at 100. CFGI builds that number from ten indicators including price action, volatility, volume, momentum, technicals and social sentiment, rather than from price alone.

How do I use the Spotify Fear and Greed Index?

Most people use it to size risk rather than to time entries. The extreme readings are the useful ones: they flag when the crowd has become one-sided, which is when caution costs least and greed costs most. Read it alongside price and volume, never on its own.

How often is the Spotify Fear and Greed Index updated?

The Spotify Fear and Greed Index is updated every 15 minutes, so the live reading can change as Spotify market conditions shift.

What does a low Spotify Fear and Greed score mean?

A low score (0 to 39) signals fear or extreme fear, where traders are cautious, risk-averse or pessimistic about the Spotify market.

What does a high Spotify Fear and Greed score mean?

A high score (60 to 100) signals greed or extreme greed, where confidence, risk appetite and bullish sentiment dominate the Spotify market.

Can I get alerts when the Spotify Fear and Greed Index changes?

Yes. CFGI alerts let you track Spotify sentiment across daily, 4-hour, 1-hour and 15-minute timeframes. Create alerts for fear, greed, extreme readings or specific Spotify Fear and Greed Index score changes.

Can I add the Spotify Fear and Greed Index to my website?

Yes. The CFGI widget lets you embed a live Spotify Fear and Greed Index on your website, so visitors can see current Spotify sentiment, live scores and market conditions without you building the data system yourself.

Can I use Spotify Fear and Greed data in my own app or trading bot?

Yes. The CFGI API gives developers access to Spotify sentiment data, multi-timeframe fear and greed scores and market signals for dashboards, trading bots, apps and research tools.
