What Is Rocket Lab?
All engine, no idle.
Rocket Lab is a launch and space systems company founded in New Zealand in 2006 and now run out of California. Its small Electron rocket flies dedicated missions for satellite operators who will not wait for a shared ride, and it also builds spacecraft, solar arrays and components for other people's missions. The larger prize is Neutron, a partly reusable medium lift vehicle still ahead of its first flight. On the CFGI Rocket Lab fear and greed index that shows through: this is a company priced on what it is about to do, and its crowd treats every milestone as a verdict.
The CFGI read: Few stocks we score top out and turn over this violently. Rocket Lab held seven straight sessions in Extreme Greed from 8 May to 18 May 2026, and the share price ran on to its window high of $150.23 on 27 May. Two weeks after the mood peaked, on 1 June 2026, sentiment fell 48 points in a single day, from 79 down to 31, the sharpest move we have logged for it. The slide finished on 17 July 2026 at 18 out of 100 with the price at $67.36, and that was a Rocket Lab problem rather than a market one: just 7 assets across the board sat in Extreme Fear that session.
Rocket Lab Fear and Greed Index History
Q3 2026 breakdown. The table below updates daily.
Across 273 scored sessions between June 2025 and July 2026, Rocket Lab closed 61 days in Extreme Greed against just 2 in Extreme Fear. That split says more about the crowd than any single reading: this is a name that lives at the top of the dial or in the middle, almost never at the bottom. Its average of 56 out of 100 ranks 220th on our most fearful list of the stocks we track, with only 27 names resting calmer.
The exception was autumn. From 3 November to 24 November 2025 the score spent 16 consecutive sessions in Fear or worse, the longest run of gloom in the window and the only time this crowd stayed pessimistic for weeks rather than days. It did not hold. The share price finished the window 95.5% higher than it started, $32.78 to $64.07, having bottomed at $32.35 on 25 June 2025, and on 29 June 2026 the score jumped 41 points in a session, from 22 to 63. Rocket Lab signs off at 27, in Fear, a long way from the 92 out of 100 it printed on 17 July 2025 when the shares were $51.33. A price up 95.5% and a crowd still in Fear is precisely the divergence the live Fear and Greed Index for the whole market exists to make visible.

Rocket Lab Fear and Greed Index FAQ
What is the Rocket Lab Fear and Greed Index today?

How is the Rocket Lab Fear and Greed Index calculated?
CFGI combines price action, impulse, volatility, volume, technicals, social sentiment, dominance, search interest, whale activity and order book pressure into one Rocket Lab fear and greed reading.
What is a good Rocket Lab Fear and Greed Index reading?
There is no single good reading, because the index measures mood rather than value. Extreme Fear below 25 marks the points where sentiment is most washed out, and Extreme Greed above 75 the points carrying the most risk, so what counts as good depends on whether you are buying or selling.
How accurate is the Rocket Lab Fear and Greed Index?
It reads sentiment accurately and predicts price poorly, and those are two different things. The score reflects what the Rocket Lab market feels right now across ten live inputs, so treat it as a risk gauge rather than a forecast: it tells you how one-sided the crowd has become, not what happens next.
What does the Rocket Lab Fear and Greed Index measure?
It measures the emotional state of the Rocket Lab market on a 0 to 100 scale, from extreme fear at 0 to extreme greed at 100. CFGI builds that number from ten indicators including price action, volatility, volume, momentum, technicals and social sentiment, rather than from price alone.
How do I use the Rocket Lab Fear and Greed Index?
Most people use it to size risk rather than to time entries. The extreme readings are the useful ones: they flag when the crowd has become one-sided, which is when caution costs least and greed costs most. Read it alongside price and volume, never on its own.
How often is the Rocket Lab Fear and Greed Index updated?
The Rocket Lab Fear and Greed Index is updated every 15 minutes, so the live reading can change as Rocket Lab market conditions shift.
What does a low Rocket Lab Fear and Greed score mean?
A low score (0 to 39) signals fear or extreme fear, where traders are cautious, risk-averse or pessimistic about the Rocket Lab market.
