What Is ResMed?
The sleep trade, wide awake.
ResMed makes the machines and masks that treat sleep apnoea. Founded in Sydney in 1989 and now run from San Diego, it built its business on continuous positive airway pressure devices and the consumables that go with them, tubing and masks that need replacing several times a year, which turns each machine sold into a long recurring relationship. Add software for home health and hospice providers and you have the sort of defensive medical device franchise that is supposed to be dull. On the CFGI ResMed fear and greed index it is anything but. This crowd worries more than most of the board, and it worries early.
The CFGI read: ResMed's worst sentiment reading and its worst price of the window landed on exactly the same day. On 2 June 2026 the score printed 12 out of 100, deep in Extreme Fear, with the shares at $182.82, their lowest of the thirteen months. The board was not panicking around it. Of the 245 stocks scored that session, 107 sat in Fear or worse, a soft tape rather than a rout, and only 6 were in Extreme Fear at all. When this crowd capitulates, it does so on its own schedule.
ResMed Fear and Greed Index History
Q3 2026 breakdown. The table below updates daily.
The nervousness is structural rather than a one-off. Across 273 sessions from June 2025 to July 2026 ResMed closed 107 days in Fear and another 7 in Extreme Fear, against just 3 in Extreme Greed. Its average of 45 out of 100 makes it the 26th most fearful name we score, one of the thirty gloomiest averages among the stocks we track, which is a strange place to find a company selling a product people use every night.
The gloom peaked in spring. From 6 March to 6 April 2026 the score held 21 straight sessions in Fear or worse, the longest such run of the window, with three of those days in Extreme Fear between 12 and 16 March. The price told the same story more slowly, falling 22.9% across the window from $254.52 to $196.15 after topping at $293.73 on 22 August 2025. The high in mood came right at the beginning: 81 out of 100 on 23 July 2025 with the shares at $273.37, one of only two Extreme Greed days ResMed managed all year. It matched that 81 again this July before dropping 39 points in a single session to 42 on 9 July 2026, and it closes at 36, in Fear. A defensive stock whose crowd sits below the midpoint of the combined crypto and stock Fear and Greed Index for most of a year is the kind of mismatch worth watching.

ResMed Fear and Greed Index FAQ
What is the ResMed Fear and Greed Index today?
The ResMed Fear and Greed Index today is 59/100 on the daily view, showing Neutral. It summarizes live ResMed market sentiment on a 0 to 100 scale.
How is the ResMed Fear and Greed Index calculated?
CFGI combines price action, impulse, volatility, volume, technicals, social sentiment, dominance, search interest, whale activity and order book pressure into one ResMed fear and greed reading.
What is a good ResMed Fear and Greed Index reading?
There is no single good reading, because the index measures mood rather than value. Extreme Fear below 25 marks the points where sentiment is most washed out, and Extreme Greed above 75 the points carrying the most risk, so what counts as good depends on whether you are buying or selling.
How accurate is the ResMed Fear and Greed Index?
It reads sentiment accurately and predicts price poorly, and those are two different things. The score reflects what the ResMed market feels right now across ten live inputs, so treat it as a risk gauge rather than a forecast: it tells you how one-sided the crowd has become, not what happens next.
What does the ResMed Fear and Greed Index measure?
It measures the emotional state of the ResMed market on a 0 to 100 scale, from extreme fear at 0 to extreme greed at 100. CFGI builds that number from ten indicators including price action, volatility, volume, momentum, technicals and social sentiment, rather than from price alone.
How do I use the ResMed Fear and Greed Index?
Most people use it to size risk rather than to time entries. The extreme readings are the useful ones: they flag when the crowd has become one-sided, which is when caution costs least and greed costs most. Read it alongside price and volume, never on its own.
How often is the ResMed Fear and Greed Index updated?
The ResMed Fear and Greed Index is updated every 15 minutes, so the live reading can change as ResMed market conditions shift.
What does a low ResMed Fear and Greed score mean?
A low score (0 to 39) signals fear or extreme fear, where traders are cautious, risk-averse or pessimistic about the ResMed market.
What does a high ResMed Fear and Greed score mean?
A high score (60 to 100) signals greed or extreme greed, where confidence, risk appetite and bullish sentiment dominate the ResMed market.
Can I get alerts when the ResMed Fear and Greed Index changes?
Yes. CFGI alerts let you track ResMed sentiment across daily, 4-hour, 1-hour and 15-minute timeframes. Create alerts for fear, greed, extreme readings or specific ResMed Fear and Greed Index score changes.

Yes. The CFGI widget lets you embed a live ResMed Fear and Greed Index on your website, so visitors can see current ResMed sentiment, live scores and market conditions without you building the data system yourself.
