What Is KLA Corporation?

The chip crowd's optimist.

KLA Corporation builds the inspection and metrology machines that police semiconductor manufacturing, the gear that tells a fab whether the chips it is printing will actually work. Formed by the 1997 merger of KLA Instruments and Tencor, it sells to every leading chipmaker, so its order book is a proxy for the whole silicon cycle. Chip crowds are supposed to be manic. On the CFGI KLA Corporation fear and greed index, this one skipped the depressive half.

The CFGI read: Across 273 scored sessions between June 2025 and July 2026, KLA rarely closed a day in Extreme Fear. Its floor was 21 out of 100 on 20 July 2026 at $208.46, printed while 116 of the 300 assets we scored that day sat in Fear or worse, and its average of 62 out of 100 makes it one of the calmest panels we run, ranked 243rd of the stocks we track by average fearfulness.

KLA Corporation Fear and Greed Index History

Q3 2026 breakdown. The table below updates daily.

The greed was earned. The price ran up 144.5% across the window, from $85.63 to $209.39, off a low of $84.39 on 3 September 2025, and the crowd rode it with 168 days in Greed or better against 39 in Fear. September 2025 alone brought a 22-session run in Greed or better, including five straight closes in Extreme Greed from 18 to 24 September, and the score topped out at 88 out of 100 on 12 June 2026 at $254.54, with the price going on to peak at $301.71 on 30 June.

The one true wobble was violent. On 30 January 2026 the score crashed 51 points in a session, from 87 to 36, yet the crowd never followed through into Extreme Fear, and it had already shown its recovery speed with a 40-point jump on 15 October 2025, from 35 to 75. The window closed at 42, in Neutral, a rare pause for a crowd that treats optimism as the default setting on the full crypto and stock Fear and Greed Index.

KLA Corporation Fear and Greed Index FAQ

What is the KLA Corporation Fear and Greed Index today?

The KLA Corporation Fear and Greed Index today is 25/100 on the daily view, showing Fear. It summarizes live KLA Corporation market sentiment on a 0 to 100 scale.

How is the KLA Corporation Fear and Greed Index calculated?

CFGI combines price action, impulse, volatility, volume, technicals, social sentiment, dominance, search interest, whale activity and order book pressure into one KLA Corporation fear and greed reading.

What is a good KLA Corporation Fear and Greed Index reading?

There is no single good reading, because the index measures mood rather than value. Extreme Fear below 25 marks the points where sentiment is most washed out, and Extreme Greed above 75 the points carrying the most risk, so what counts as good depends on whether you are buying or selling.

How accurate is the KLA Corporation Fear and Greed Index?

It reads sentiment accurately and predicts price poorly, and those are two different things. The score reflects what the KLA Corporation market feels right now across ten live inputs, so treat it as a risk gauge rather than a forecast: it tells you how one-sided the crowd has become, not what happens next.

What does the KLA Corporation Fear and Greed Index measure?

It measures the emotional state of the KLA Corporation market on a 0 to 100 scale, from extreme fear at 0 to extreme greed at 100. CFGI builds that number from ten indicators including price action, volatility, volume, momentum, technicals and social sentiment, rather than from price alone.

How do I use the KLA Corporation Fear and Greed Index?

Most people use it to size risk rather than to time entries. The extreme readings are the useful ones: they flag when the crowd has become one-sided, which is when caution costs least and greed costs most. Read it alongside price and volume, never on its own.

How often is the KLA Corporation Fear and Greed Index updated?

The KLA Corporation Fear and Greed Index is updated every 15 minutes, so the live reading can change as KLA Corporation market conditions shift.

What does a low KLA Corporation Fear and Greed score mean?

A low score (0 to 39) signals fear or extreme fear, where traders are cautious, risk-averse or pessimistic about the KLA Corporation market.

What does a high KLA Corporation Fear and Greed score mean?

A high score (60 to 100) signals greed or extreme greed, where confidence, risk appetite and bullish sentiment dominate the KLA Corporation market.
