What Is Intuit?
Fear with a filing deadline.
Intuit is the software company that does America's financial admin: TurboTax for tax returns, QuickBooks for small-business books, Credit Karma and Mailchimp filling out the stack. Founded in 1983, it spent decades as one of the safest franchises in technology. Then the market began asking whether generative AI could file a tax return without it, and the CFGI crowd spent the year we track pricing that question in real time.
The CFGI read: Intuit is the sixth most fearful stock we score, by both Extreme Fear days, 20 of them, and by an average of just 42 out of 100 across the stocks we rank. In 273 scored days it rarely came near Extreme Greed, the ceiling was 76 out of 100 on 29 July 2025 at $806.34, and the price told the crowd it was right to worry, falling 61.3% over the window from $762.55 to $294.97.
Intuit Fear and Greed Index History
Q3 2026 breakdown. The table below updates daily.
The worst of it clustered in the new year. The score sat in Extreme Fear for six straight sessions from 29 January to 5 February 2026, inside a 20-session run in Fear or worse from 28 January to 25 February, and the absolute floor, 13 out of 100, printed earlier, on 16 January at $545.29, on a day when only 4 of the 246 stocks scored were in Extreme Fear. The market was not panicking about software; it was panicking about this software.
Even the recoveries were nervous. The longest stay in Greed or better lasted just 8 sessions, from 27 February to 10 March 2026, and the sharpest single-day fall of the window, 30 points from 49 to 19 on 21 May 2026, landed months after the January capitulation, proof the crowd never fully re-armed its confidence. The price bottomed at $255.07 on 25 June, a long way from the $807.39 it touched on 30 July 2025.
The window still closed at 57, back in Neutral, which on this evidence counts as a truce rather than a verdict. At the fearful end of the overall market Fear and Greed Index, Intuit stands out because the anxiety is specific: 128 of its 273 days were spent in Fear or worse, a crowd holding a permanent hearing on whether the machines are coming for its moat.

Intuit Fear and Greed Index FAQ
What is the Intuit Fear and Greed Index today?
The Intuit Fear and Greed Index today is 63/100 on the daily view, showing Greed. It summarizes live Intuit market sentiment on a 0 to 100 scale.
How is the Intuit Fear and Greed Index calculated?
CFGI combines price action, impulse, volatility, volume, technicals, social sentiment, dominance, search interest, whale activity and order book pressure into one Intuit fear and greed reading.
What is a good Intuit Fear and Greed Index reading?
There is no single good reading, because the index measures mood rather than value. Extreme Fear below 25 marks the points where sentiment is most washed out, and Extreme Greed above 75 the points carrying the most risk, so what counts as good depends on whether you are buying or selling.
How accurate is the Intuit Fear and Greed Index?
It reads sentiment accurately and predicts price poorly, and those are two different things. The score reflects what the Intuit market feels right now across ten live inputs, so treat it as a risk gauge rather than a forecast: it tells you how one-sided the crowd has become, not what happens next.
What does the Intuit Fear and Greed Index measure?
It measures the emotional state of the Intuit market on a 0 to 100 scale, from extreme fear at 0 to extreme greed at 100. CFGI builds that number from ten indicators including price action, volatility, volume, momentum, technicals and social sentiment, rather than from price alone.
How do I use the Intuit Fear and Greed Index?
Most people use it to size risk rather than to time entries. The extreme readings are the useful ones: they flag when the crowd has become one-sided, which is when caution costs least and greed costs most. Read it alongside price and volume, never on its own.
How often is the Intuit Fear and Greed Index updated?
The Intuit Fear and Greed Index is updated every 15 minutes, so the live reading can change as Intuit market conditions shift.
What does a low Intuit Fear and Greed score mean?
A low score (0 to 39) signals fear or extreme fear, where traders are cautious, risk-averse or pessimistic about the Intuit market.
What does a high Intuit Fear and Greed score mean?
A high score (60 to 100) signals greed or extreme greed, where confidence, risk appetite and bullish sentiment dominate the Intuit market.
Can I get alerts when the Intuit Fear and Greed Index changes?
Yes. CFGI alerts let you track Intuit sentiment across daily, 4-hour, 1-hour and 15-minute timeframes. Create alerts for fear, greed, extreme readings or specific Intuit Fear and Greed Index score changes.
