Equinix Market Sentiment Today

Equinix market sentiment today is shaped by price action, volatility, trading volume, technical indicators, social activity and wider market behaviour. CFGI combines these signals to show how Equinix sentiment is changing throughout the day.

What Is Equinix?

The cloud's nervous landlord.

Equinix is the world's largest data centre REIT, founded in 1998, and it owns the neutral meeting rooms of the internet: colocation halls where clouds, carriers, banks and AI platforms physically interconnect. Landlord economics made it a darling of the digital buildout, which is precisely why its sentiment history is so violent. When the cost of housing AI got repriced, this crowd repriced with it.

The CFGI read: The defining day came in the first week of our window. On 25 June 2025 the score collapsed 41 points, 61 to 20, after an analyst day where management front-loaded years of AI capacity spending, and by 26 June it sat at 10 out of 100, Extreme Fear, with the price at $745.53. The wider board barely noticed: just 38 of the stocks we track were in Fear or worse that day, and in Extreme Fear, Equinix was essentially alone. A one-company panic, printed in full.

Equinix Fear and Greed Index History

Q3 2026 breakdown. The table below updates daily.

Recovery was slow and lumpy. The crowd endured 16 days in Fear or worse from 13 November to 5 December 2025, with the price bottoming at $726.09 on 4 December, before swinging all the way to 87, Extreme Greed, on 13 February 2026 at $956.19. Spring brought the longest conviction stretch, 19 days at Greed or better from 31 March to 27 April 2026, and the price ran on to a window high of $1,115.94 by 22 June.

Even then the nerves showed. The crowd fell back into Extreme Fear for 4 days from 1 to 7 July 2026, then produced the biggest jump of the window, 43 points from 17 to 60 on 9 July. In total Equinix has spent 7 days in Extreme Fear, ranking 45th of the stocks we track for time at that extreme, against 4 days of Extreme Greed. The window closed at 78, Greed, on 24 July 2026 with the price up 22.2%, one of the moodier inputs to the combined crypto and stock Fear and Greed Index.

Equinix Fear and Greed Index FAQ

What is the Equinix Fear and Greed Index today?

The Equinix Fear and Greed Index today is 39/100 on the daily view, showing Fear. It summarizes live Equinix market sentiment on a 0 to 100 scale.

How is the Equinix Fear and Greed Index calculated?

CFGI combines price action, impulse, volatility, volume, technicals, social sentiment, dominance, search interest, whale activity and order book pressure into one Equinix fear and greed reading.

What is a good Equinix Fear and Greed Index reading?

There is no single good reading, because the index measures mood rather than value. Extreme Fear below 25 marks the points where sentiment is most washed out, and Extreme Greed above 75 the points carrying the most risk, so what counts as good depends on whether you are buying or selling.

How accurate is the Equinix Fear and Greed Index?

It reads sentiment accurately and predicts price poorly, and those are two different things. The score reflects what the Equinix market feels right now across ten live inputs, so treat it as a risk gauge rather than a forecast: it tells you how one-sided the crowd has become, not what happens next.

What does the Equinix Fear and Greed Index measure?

It measures the emotional state of the Equinix market on a 0 to 100 scale, from extreme fear at 0 to extreme greed at 100. CFGI builds that number from ten indicators including price action, volatility, volume, momentum, technicals and social sentiment, rather than from price alone.

How do I use the Equinix Fear and Greed Index?

Most people use it to size risk rather than to time entries. The extreme readings are the useful ones: they flag when the crowd has become one-sided, which is when caution costs least and greed costs most. Read it alongside price and volume, never on its own.

How often is the Equinix Fear and Greed Index updated?

The Equinix Fear and Greed Index is updated every 15 minutes, so the live reading can change as Equinix market conditions shift.

What does a low Equinix Fear and Greed score mean?

A low score (0 to 39) signals fear or extreme fear, where traders are cautious, risk-averse or pessimistic about the Equinix market.

What does a high Equinix Fear and Greed score mean?

A high score (60 to 100) signals greed or extreme greed, where confidence, risk appetite and bullish sentiment dominate the Equinix market.

Can I get alerts when the Equinix Fear and Greed Index changes?

Yes. CFGI alerts let you track Equinix sentiment across daily, 4-hour, 1-hour and 15-minute timeframes. Create alerts for fear, greed, extreme readings or specific Equinix Fear and Greed Index score changes.
