Chipotle Mexican Grill Market Sentiment Today

Chipotle Mexican Grill market sentiment today is shaped by price action, volatility, trading volume, technical indicators, social activity and wider market behaviour. CFGI combines these signals to show how Chipotle Mexican Grill sentiment is changing throughout the day.

Compare Chipotle Mexican Grill with the whole-market reading on the Stock Market Fear and Greed Index, or every company on the stock fear and greed directory.

What Is Chipotle Mexican Grill?

The fallen favourite.

Chipotle Mexican Grill built fast-casual dining in America, a burrito chain founded in Denver in 1993 that became one of the market's great compounding stories. That era has collided with a squeezed younger customer and stalled restaurant traffic, and the stock has been repriced from growth darling to show-me story. On the CFGI stock index the crowd made that journey in real time, and it made it fearfully.

The CFGI read: Chipotle's crowd is one of the ten most fearful we track on both measures that matter: 8th on our stock board by days spent in Extreme Fear, with 17, and 10th by average score, at 43 out of 100. The bottom was brutal, 9 out of 100 on 31 October 2025 at $31.69, a single digit on a scale of 100.

Chipotle Mexican Grill Fear and Greed Index History

Q3 2026 breakdown. The table below updates daily.

The window opened at the top. The sentiment high, 77 out of 100, printed on 1 July 2025 in the same session as the price high of $58.24, barely a week in, and the crowd rarely went near Extreme Greed. What followed was the education: a 7-day Extreme Fear streak from 24 July to 1 August 2025 inside a 17-day Fear or worse run, and a price that ended the window down 41%, at $31.75 from $53.78, with the low of $28.18 struck on 4 June 2026.

There were flickers. The biggest single-day jump, 24 points from 37 to 61, came on 18 February 2026, and a 10-day Greed or better run opened the new year from 5 to 16 January 2026. But the base state has been worry: 118 of 273 scored days in Fear or worse against 54 in Greed, on that average of 43. Even on its worst day, 31 October 2025, when 107 of the stocks we track were in Fear or worse with it, Chipotle's reading sat deeper than the market's gloom.

The window closes near where it began: 31 out of 100, Fear, on 24 July 2026, with the price at $31.75. Set that against the live Fear and Greed Index for the whole market and the gap is the story: this crowd's fear is specific, not the market's weather.

What is a good Chipotle Mexican Grill Fear and Greed Index reading?

There is no single good reading, because the index measures mood rather than value. Extreme Fear below 25 marks the points where sentiment is most washed out, and Extreme Greed above 75 the points carrying the most risk, so what counts as good depends on whether you are buying or selling.

How accurate is the Chipotle Mexican Grill Fear and Greed Index?

It reads sentiment accurately and predicts price poorly, and those are two different things. What does the Chipotle Mexican Grill Fear and Greed Index measure?

It measures the emotional state of the Chipotle Mexican Grill market on a 0 to 100 scale, from extreme fear at 0 to extreme greed at 100. CFGI builds that number from ten indicators including price action, volatility, volume, momentum, technicals and social sentiment, rather than from price alone.

How do I use the Chipotle Mexican Grill Fear and Greed Index?

Most people use it to size risk rather than to time entries. The extreme readings are the useful ones: they flag when the crowd has become one-sided, which is when caution costs least and greed costs most. Read it alongside price and volume, never on its own.

How often is the Chipotle Mexican Grill Fear and Greed Index updated?

The Chipotle Mexican Grill Fear and Greed Index is updated every 15 minutes, so the live reading can change as Chipotle Mexican Grill market conditions shift.

What does a low Chipotle Mexican Grill Fear and Greed score mean?
