What Is Carrier Global?
The broken thermostat.
Carrier Global is the heating, cooling and refrigeration company descended from Willis Carrier, the engineer who invented modern air conditioning in 1902, spun out of United Technologies in 2020 and now selling climate control to homes, buildings and cold chains. There is a joke buried in our data: the company that sells temperature regulation is followed by a crowd with no thermostat of its own.
The CFGI read: The clearest evidence is a pair of prices. On 1 August 2025, with the shares at $66.92, Carrier's crowd printed its deepest Extreme Fear, 15 out of 100. On 11 February 2026, with the shares at $67.11, nineteen cents higher, it printed Extreme Greed at 82. Sixty-seven points of emotion separated by almost no price at all, which is as clean a demonstration as this index produces that sentiment is a reading of the crowd, not the ticker.
Carrier Global Fear and Greed Index History
Q3 2026 breakdown. The table below updates daily.
Fear claimed 84 of Carrier's 273 trading days between 23 June 2025 and 24 July 2026, Neutral took 106, Greed took 76, and the average settled at 49; the symmetry hides a stranger shape underneath it. The window opened with fifteen straight closes in Greed or better, from 23 June to 14 July 2025, then a fortnight after that run ended came fifteen straight closes in Fear or worse, from 29 July to 18 August. The second run began with the year's most violent session, a 48-point single-day collapse on 29 July 2025 from 70 to 22, and contained four consecutive Extreme Fear days from 30 July to 4 August.
The price rode its own cycle, from a high of $80.73 on 25 July 2025 to a low of $50.36 on 20 November, ending the window at $68.70, down 4.3%. Sentiment closed at 60, Greed, helped along by a 29-point jump on 20 April 2026, and the crowd's four Extreme Fear days and three Extreme Greed days bookend an otherwise centred record. Read against the full crypto and stock Fear and Greed Index, Carrier is the reminder that an average of 49 can hide two complete seasons.

Carrier Global Fear and Greed Index FAQ
What is the Carrier Global Fear and Greed Index today?

How is the Carrier Global Fear and Greed Index calculated?
CFGI combines price action, impulse, volatility, volume, technicals, social sentiment, dominance, search interest, whale activity and order book pressure into one Carrier Global fear and greed reading.
What is a good Carrier Global Fear and Greed Index reading?
There is no single good reading, because the index measures mood rather than value. Extreme Fear below 25 marks the points where sentiment is most washed out, and Extreme Greed above 75 the points carrying the most risk, so what counts as good depends on whether you are buying or selling.
How accurate is the Carrier Global Fear and Greed Index?
It reads sentiment accurately and predicts price poorly, and those are two different things. The score reflects what the Carrier Global market feels right now across ten live inputs, so treat it as a risk gauge rather than a forecast: it tells you how one-sided the crowd has become, not what happens next.
What does the Carrier Global Fear and Greed Index measure?
It measures the emotional state of the Carrier Global market on a 0 to 100 scale, from extreme fear at 0 to extreme greed at 100. CFGI builds that number from ten indicators including price action, volatility, volume, momentum, technicals and social sentiment, rather than from price alone.
How do I use the Carrier Global Fear and Greed Index?
Most people use it to size risk rather than to time entries. The extreme readings are the useful ones: they flag when the crowd has become one-sided, which is when caution costs least and greed costs most. Read it alongside price and volume, never on its own.
How often is the Carrier Global Fear and Greed Index updated?
The Carrier Global Fear and Greed Index is updated every 15 minutes, so the live reading can change as Carrier Global market conditions shift.
What does a low Carrier Global Fear and Greed score mean?
A low score (0 to 39) signals fear or extreme fear, where traders are cautious, risk-averse or pessimistic about the Carrier Global market.
