The crowd on the CFGI Amazon fear and greed index reads it accordingly, less as a retailer than as a proxy for the whole digital economy, and it swings with matching scale, from 6 days of Extreme Fear to 14 of Extreme Greed inside a single window.
The CFGI read: Amazon's crowd called the bottom to the day. Its six-session Extreme Fear run from 6 to 13 February 2026, with the floor of 15 out of 100 printing on 9 February at $208.72, ended on the exact day the price bottomed at $198.79. The fright was mostly its own, only 58 of 246 stocks sat in Fear or worse when the score troughed, and it resolved the way capitulation resolves in this data: by April the same crowd was stringing together 23 straight sessions in Greed or better.
