What Is Bitcoin Cash?
The composed dissident.
Bitcoin Cash is the payments-first fork of Bitcoin, born from the block-size schism, built on the conviction that electronic cash means transactions cheap enough to actually use. On the CFGI Bitcoin Cash fear and greed index, where we have scored it since 28 June 2022, it carries itself like the veteran it is: a full year of data, an even keel, and a temper that breaks only when everything breaks with it.
The CFGI read: Bitcoin Cash logged just 3 days of Extreme Fear in the past year against 191 in Neutral, yet even that modest count ranks 20th among the tokens with a full year of history on our crypto board, while by average score, 47 out of 100, it sits 90th of that same field, calmer than most. Composed on the average day, in other words, with a rare but genuine tail. Its deepest reading arrived in full company: 17 out of 100 on 4 June 2026, with 57 of the 62 tokens scored that day in Fear or worse and 9 of them in Extreme Fear. This crowd does not panic alone.
Bitcoin Cash Fear and Greed Index History
Q3 2026 breakdown. The table below updates daily.
The year's violence concentrated into single days. On 25 August 2025 the score fell 33 points from 70 to 37, the same session the whole-market index lurched 28 points from 64 to 36, the sharpest fall in its record. The longest grind ran 24 consecutive days in Fear or worse from 22 May to 14 June 2026, the stretch containing the back-to-back Extreme Fear closes of 3 and 4 June. Recovery, when it came, was equally sharp: a 29-point jump from 27 to 56 on 7 November 2025.
The price gave that composure real weight to carry: down 64.1% across the window, from $599.30 on 27 July 2025 to $215.20, after topping at $654.20 on 3 January 2026 and troughing at $190.50 on 24 June 2026. The window even opened at the crowd's only Extreme Greed close, 82 out of 100 on 27 July 2025, which means every day since has been cooler. Through all of it Bitcoin Cash remained one of the steadier lines the Fear and Greed Index tracks, closing the year at 42, Neutral, on 26 July 2026.

Bitcoin Cash Fear and Greed Index FAQ
What is the Bitcoin Cash Fear and Greed Index today?
The Bitcoin Cash Fear and Greed Index today is 42/100 on the daily view, showing Neutral. It summarizes live Bitcoin Cash market sentiment on a 0 to 100 scale.
How is the Bitcoin Cash Fear and Greed Index calculated?
CFGI combines price action, impulse, volatility, volume, technicals, social sentiment, dominance, search interest, whale activity and order book pressure into one Bitcoin Cash fear and greed reading.
What is a good Bitcoin Cash Fear and Greed Index reading?
There is no single good reading, because the index measures mood rather than value. Extreme Fear below 25 marks the points where sentiment is most washed out, and Extreme Greed above 75 the points carrying the most risk, so what counts as good depends on whether you are buying or selling.
How accurate is the Bitcoin Cash Fear and Greed Index?
It reads sentiment accurately and predicts price poorly, and those are two different things. The score reflects what the Bitcoin Cash market feels right now across ten live inputs, so treat it as a risk gauge rather than a forecast: it tells you how one-sided the crowd has become, not what happens next.
What does the Bitcoin Cash Fear and Greed Index measure?
It measures the emotional state of the Bitcoin Cash market on a 0 to 100 scale, from extreme fear at 0 to extreme greed at 100. CFGI builds that number from ten indicators including price action, volatility, volume, momentum, technicals and social sentiment, rather than from price alone.
How do I use the Bitcoin Cash Fear and Greed Index?
Most people use it to size risk rather than to time entries. The extreme readings are the useful ones: they flag when the crowd has become one-sided, which is when caution costs least and greed costs most. Read it alongside price and volume, never on its own.
How often is the Bitcoin Cash Fear and Greed Index updated?
The Bitcoin Cash Fear and Greed Index is updated every 15 minutes, so the live reading can change as Bitcoin Cash market conditions shift.
What does a low Bitcoin Cash Fear and Greed score mean?
A low score (0 to 39) signals fear or extreme fear, where traders are cautious, risk-averse or pessimistic about the Bitcoin Cash market.
What does a high Bitcoin Cash Fear and Greed score mean?
A high score (60 to 100) signals greed or extreme greed, where confidence, risk appetite and bullish sentiment dominate the Bitcoin Cash market.
