Current Chainlink Fear and Greed Index Value

The current Chainlink Fear and Greed Index value is measured from 0 to 100. Lower scores suggest fear, uncertainty or weak confidence in the Chainlink market, while higher scores suggest greed, confidence or stronger risk appetite.

What Does the Current Chainlink Fear and Greed Score Mean?

Neutral on the Chainlink Fear and Greed Index reflects a market without a strong bias in either direction. Neither fear nor greed is dominating. Is the Chainlink Fear and Greed Index a Buy or Sell Signal?

The Chainlink Fear and Greed Index is a market sentiment indicator, not a standalone buy or sell signal. Traders use it to understand whether fear, greed, neutral or extreme sentiment is present, then compare that reading with price action, liquidity and risk management.

What Is Chainlink?

The composed messenger.

Chainlink is the oracle network that carries real world data onto blockchains, the messaging layer that tells smart contracts what a price, a rate or a proof of reserves actually says. Most of decentralised finance settles on numbers Chainlink delivers, which makes LINK less a wager on any single application than on the plumbing beneath all of them. We have scored it since 29 March 2022, and on the CFGI Chainlink fear and greed index the crowd behaves like the infrastructure it holds: it registers every storm and refuses to be swept away by one.

The CFGI read: LINK's price fell 54.8% over the past year, from $19.04 to $8.61, and the crowd rarely closed a day in Extreme Fear. Not during the 34 point collapse of 25 August 2025, the wider market's single worst day of the year, and not at the price floor of $7.20 on 30 June 2026. An average mood of 47 ranks Chainlink 93rd most fearful of the tokens we rank across a full year, closer to the calm end of the table than the panicked one.

Chainlink Fear and Greed Index History

Q3 2026 breakdown. The table below updates daily.

The year opened hot. An eight day Greed or better run from 7 August 2025 carried LINK to 83 out of 100 on 9 August, the first of two consecutive Extreme Greed closes, with the price at $21.38 and still climbing toward its high of $27.03 on 22 August. Then came 25 August: 70 to 36 in a single close, the crowd's steepest fall of the year, and the euphoria was gone for good.

What followed was containment rather than collapse. The longest gloom ran just 11 days in Fear or worse, from 28 January to 7 February 2026, and the deepest reading, 21 out of 100 on 5 June 2026 with the price at $7.31, came on a day when 59 of the 62 assets scored sat in Fear or worse. The ledger for the year reads 94 days of Fear, 224 of Neutral, 44 of Greed and 3 of Extreme Greed, a distribution the main Fear and Greed Index itself would recognise: a crowd that worried constantly and panicked seldom.

The other signature is the snapback. On 13 October 2025 the score jumped 32 points, 23 to 55, clearing Fear in one move, and Chainlink enters 26 July 2026 at 54, in Neutral, exactly the sort of middle reading this crowd keeps returning to.

Chainlink Fear and Greed Index FAQ

What is the Chainlink Fear and Greed Index today?

The Chainlink Fear and Greed Index today is 47/100 on the daily view, showing Neutral. It summarizes live Chainlink market sentiment on a 0 to 100 scale.

How is the Chainlink Fear and Greed Index calculated?

CFGI combines price action, impulse, volatility, volume, technicals, social sentiment, dominance, search interest, whale activity and order book pressure into one Chainlink fear and greed reading.

What is a good Chainlink Fear and Greed Index reading?

There is no single good reading, because the index measures mood rather than value. Extreme Fear below 25 marks the points where sentiment is most washed out, and Extreme Greed above 75 the points carrying the most risk, so what counts as good depends on whether you are buying or selling.

How accurate is the Chainlink Fear and Greed Index?

It reads sentiment accurately and predicts price poorly, and those are two different things. The score reflects what the Chainlink market feels right now across ten live inputs, so treat it as a risk gauge rather than a forecast: it tells you how one-sided the crowd has become, not what happens next.

What does the Chainlink Fear and Greed Index measure?

It measures the emotional state of the Chainlink market on a 0 to 100 scale, from extreme fear at 0 to extreme greed at 100. CFGI builds that number from ten indicators including price action, volatility, volume, momentum, technicals and social sentiment, rather than from price alone.

How do I use the Chainlink Fear and Greed Index?

Most people use it to size risk rather than to time entries. The extreme readings are the useful ones: they flag when the crowd has become one-sided, which is when caution costs least and greed costs most. Read it alongside price and volume, never on its own.

How often is the Chainlink Fear and Greed Index updated?

The Chainlink Fear and Greed Index is updated every 15 minutes, so the live reading can change as Chainlink market conditions shift.

What does a low Chainlink Fear and Greed score mean?

A low score (0 to 39) signals fear or extreme fear, where traders are cautious, risk-averse or pessimistic about the Chainlink market.

What does a high Chainlink Fear and Greed score mean?

A high score (60 to 100) signals greed or extreme greed, where confidence, risk appetite and bullish sentiment dominate the Chainlink market.

Can I get alerts when the Chainlink Fear and Greed Index changes?
